This was such a fun collab. I look forward to this collab every criterion sale mores o than buying the criterions. Loved your version of events! Great video dude!
Loved this video! I side strongly with Nick on the rise of skywalker 😅 but awesome pickups all around! I always realize how many movies are out there that I need to watch one day after I watch these criterion videos. I feel like it’s easy to get lost in the hunt too! And my night to remember was Seven Samurai, I would literally pick it up every time I went into Barnes and Noble. So glad I finally got it and watched it. Awesome video!
I picked up all blind buys with 39 Steps, Gold Rush (my 6th Chaplin and probably my favorite), Days of Heaven (loved Badlands), Come and See (heard great things from it), Nashville, and It Happened One Night (5th Capra film, excited to watch it). I plan on going back and picking up The Irishman, and still undecided if I want to add more Kurosawa films. I only have Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Sanjuro and Ikiru and want to add at least 2 or 3 more, but I have no idea which ones to get
The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallance is one of James Stewart’s all time best movies & performance! He plays his character so well off of a John Wayne’s. It’s a must see & own!
Awesome pickups, guys! I love Chaplin’s The Great Dictator and Anatomy of a Murder is really good with Jimmy Stewart. I picked up The Gunfighter early in the sale and look forward to watching it. Enjoy!
Hello from Instagram!! I'm now a subscriber to your TH-cam channel! Barnes and Noble is a great place to go shopping. I sometimes buy DVDs there but I mostly get records and books lol. These criterion videos seem to be a trend for TH-camrs apparently hahaha
The Character Development! It went from not being a fan of silent films-to talking about your favorite chaplins. And now you’ve both overcome your Night To Remembers! *sob* it’s beautiful..
This month was good! Picked up parasite, moonstruck, Claudine, the comfort of strangers, fear and loathing, and ghost dog the way of the samurai! Wanted to take a breaks from the usual very tense and serious movies I get from them haha
I am very dissatisfied with my barnes and noble and there website I looked on their site to see if my barnes and noble had criterion in stock an it said it did so we went and I haven't been to my barnes and noble in months and they moved it around so I ask where there dvd/blu-ray section was and the lady takes me too it and there was a shelf box thing with 2 small rows about 20-25 dvds that's it and she says in a snarky tone "That's all we have because were not a movie/music store" and come to find out my website for some reason had a Chicago store chosen when I live like 3 hours from it when there is 20 stores that are closer so I guess I have to order them instead.
Great video and very good pick ups im brand new at criterion but I picked up 4 criterions so gonna check them out but great video as always I enjoy your colab videos with nick
Can’t tell you how happy I was to see this video. Criterion hauls are always amazing, but the collaboration of you three made this one extra amazing. Once again, I purchased far too many this month (hopefully I’m done): - High and Low (24) - Andrei Rublev (34) - Diabolique (35) - Wages of Fear (36) - Taste of Cherry (45) - Rififi (115) - Wild Strawberries (139) - Hopscotch (163) (My “Night to Remember”) - Throne of Blood (190) - Ivan’s Childhood (397) - Che (496) - The Thin Red Line (536) - The Night of the Hunter (541) - Modern Times (543) - The Great Dictator (565) - The Game (627) - Ministry of Fear (649) - Thief (691) - It’s a Mad, Mad, Max, Mad World (692) - The Player (812) - The Grand Budapest Hotel (1025)
I bought two blind buys: I wanna Hold Your Hans (which I've since watched and really enjoyed) and the Hit, which I still need to watch. I also bought Blue is the Warmest Colour which was only 12 dollars. I'm also thinking of blind buying Girlfriends since you can't rent it in HD.
@@maplestreetmovies I wanna hold your hand is a great representation of beatlemania. It's crazy how some people just lost it because of them. Blue is the warmest colour is great as well, but it has a few very explicit lesbian sex scenes to be wary of.
My "Night to Remember" is definitely Y Tu Mama Tambien. I was finally going to buy it this sale, but I made the mistake of asking the Barnes and Noble employee which movies he was eyeing and of course he said Y Tu Mama Tambien. I couldn't buy it out of good conscience since there was only one copy left :(
Great video guys! It was so awesome to see you guys collab and great pickups as well! Btw I may or may not be unsubscribing from Nicholas after he said he actually liked the scene with Rey referring to herself as “Rey Skywalker” 😂😂😂😂
Yes, Nicholas is Mike in the video lol. Ok just finish the video man did it bring a smile on my face. Honestly idk why but yea great video and haul as well. I am glad this happened and its so much fun. Hopefully in the future I can join you guys for a criterion hunt but we will see. My night to remember is The Red Shoes. I just been wanting to see a Powell and Pressbruger films for a long time. overall had a blast watching this video and keep up! take care buddy. Oh, The Last Emperor has my name on it so I am a best picture winner (lol). lastly I am on side with nick on the rise of Skywalker. one I hate the ending and two it was a massive let down. -Bernardo Cisneros
Nice. I went the other day and got “The Killing” by Stanley Kubrick, “Modern Times” and “Great Dictator” by Chaplin, Scorsese Shorts, “12 Angry Men” and “Five Easy Pieces” on of my favorite Jack Nicholson movies of all time. Still need to go grab a couple others I’ve been eyeing for some time. “On The Waterfront” “This Sporting Life” “One Eyed Jacks” “Some Like It Hot” “Barry Lyndon” “Dr. Strangelove” “City Lights” “Circus” “The Kid” “Gold Rush” and that “The Irishman” release........... this sale is gonna make me declare bankruptcy
Vertigo and Surprisingly enough Harvey two great James Stewart films I’ve got a box set of Memories of Murder and Barking dogs never bite on order got to see more Bong.Joon Ho
If you didn’t know, the cover for Parasite spells out Parasite in Morse code.
I did know that, it’s so cool!!

My night to remember is eraserhead- one day I’ll actually get it
I picked it up during the last Barnes and Noble sale. Would definitely recommend. The supplements are also fantastic.
@@wtfemtf great! It’s one of those films I could always rewatch. I might try and get one for Christmas👍

Thank you 😁 it was a blast! Nick and I will have a new haul video later this month
Nice pickups! Interested to hear your thoughts on Night and the City!
Great picks guys. I am interested in seeing your review of "Gunslinger". Thanks for the excitement and genuine reactions to the Criterion Collection.
Thank YOU for watching our reactions 🤣
