+mai kuriyama .... I will do my best to find and upload the full version ... I had to edit this in order for it to fit within the allowed timescale youtube allowed in those days
I wish there was more. i am sooo facinated by automatons. I just discoverd how much i Love them. I'm going to my local Antique mall and am considering checking out some of those old relics again! you never know- i could end up finding real treasure
To be able to go back in time and see some of these creations being made, or just to watch the public marvel at them would be something else! Some of them are so lovely, and are still marveled at today.
haha I know exactly what you mean ... glad you enjoyed though ... I remember cutting out five or ten minutes of this film because of the restrictions on youtube at the time I uploaded ... since larger files/longer durations are now allowed I think I will upload the full film if I can find it again on my pc
Like the Theater, automatons entertained those who wished it without having to travel out of the Home. The Red Haired automoton, for instance remined me of Sarah Bernhardt, that famous Actress of the 19th century barring the wooden leg from her misfortune. Dave
The girl changes the most, as her hair is different and her face is redone, and the writing boy's coat color only changed. The drawing boy had his hair changed and his robe color changed.
I can never get tired of watching this beautiful and amazing video of automatons

+Dave Stacy you mean the one with the Rose and the organ?
I wonder where these all are now...
The girl who plays the piano, the boy in green who draws and the boy in purple who writes reside in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
