Great upload, thoroughly enjoyable watch. The track around Corrour (Loch Ossian) and over to Rannoch is fantastic and, as you said, stunning scenery on a clear day.
I did this in May, camping over 3 days. And second the difficulty in finding campsites, I got lucky on Rannoch and found a small grass site in a firebreak, about 10 miles short of Corrour Station. Pure chance. I used my HT with front suspension, which was perfect for the rough, fast stuff plus had the gearing/grip to get up/over the C. Pass. Once past Killin though, I’d have preferred to have been on my gravel bike.
That IMHO is one of the great things about the route. There isn't really a perfect bike for all of it. I did it back in May also, but on my gravel bike, and whilst this was ok, there were definitely bits which would have been better on a HT.
Great video, thanks. Don't know if any other commenters have pointed this out but on the second night you camped at the ruins of the Old Corrour Lodge (pronounced kuh-roar 😉 ), must have been quite a place back in the day.
This was such a good video, so jealous of your trip, I love Scotland, it’s the best 😍 I can’t believe the daily miles your upto 😱 thank you so much for taking us along
Great video, I was watching a Mt Everest Basecamp walk, episode #3 was meant to start next, and somehow your video popped up. Very enjoyable to watch. As a solo trip, does boredom come into it when you're not riding? Surprised not anyone else on that track. Food is impressive. Take care
aha oops, sorry for interrupting your videos, i kinda prefer it to be honest the long winter nights can get a little long but i normally just chill out with the ipod.
Aha legs felt it after two weeks off the bike 😂🚵♂️🚵♂️ yeahh its the exposure revo Dynamo light, i did actually have it before but it broke, they refunded me but i never got round to replacing it until now.
@@KeepSmilingAdventures hehe yeah I bet they was mate . Oh thats a shame I've not got a dynamo but need a decent light. Some lights are just so exspensive. I see the Rapid Monster 😂
Hi, nice video and ride! Is it confortable to ride a bike w/o front suspension in such a rocky roads? Thank you for any advice (I'm looking for a new bike and don't know what to buy)!
it really depends on where you will be riding, if you have lots of gravel or roads before getting to the trails then gravel bikes are pretty nice, if all the stuff you ride is more rocky and rough then its probably better to go with a mtb. It really all depends on you and what riding you will be doing
Have not been to Scotland. Yet. Your video and drone shots really are beautiful. The clouds look like my home in Oregon. Curious. Were you solo on this trip? Every once in a while you would say "we". If that's too personal no need to answer😁.
Couple reason really the main one being i had to travel up to scotland on a train with them tiny lockers and hooks. Would really struggle to get the bombtrack to fit. And 2nd is after i finished this ride i went straight onto the second city divide route which is much more gravel bike suited.
Is it possible to ride the decents on a old kona explosif fully loaded with cantilever brakes ( will they stop me ) all videos seem disc brake bikes I could use 1of my other bikes with discs. Thanks Joe griffith

Great video! Scotland is just the best. How was it finding drinking water up in the mountainous areas?
Which way would you say is the better way to do it? Ive looked at it from Glasgow up to Inverness and then riding down to Edinburgh

Love it, definitely a ride I would like to do, love that area of the world. Think it might be a bit too challenging to do with the children yet 😄
Hey, great videos! Can you include the music tracks you use in the description please?
Great to see 'Nessy' 🤣

have you ridden lon las cymru? Think it's a bit of a mix of road/ trail but would make for an interesting ride.

Aha yeah im on my own, "we" is me and you guys aha 👍
Can I ask why you would opt for the drop bar over the bombtrack for such a route? Not judging, just purely curious?
Couple reason really the main one being i had to travel up to scotland on a train with them tiny lockers and hooks. Would really struggle to get the bombtrack to fit. And 2nd is after i finished this ride i went straight onto the second city divide route which is much more gravel bike suited.
What's total weight bike and all stuff?
Do you remember where you pitched each night? I’m doing this soon and looking for ideas
Triathletes would love that spot
What exactly are you looking for when you’re searching for a good camp spot?! What’s the checklist?
