    the reason it is breaking apart. is because you are using to little corn starch when stretching it. every time you foul it you need to cover it so it is completely white before stretching it again

    When I make dragons beard noodles, I find it easier to slowly pass the ring around and around instead of just yanking it really quick. This makes the noodles (or candy) more even and prevents it from breaking.

    Imagine using this to make a edible doll for those doll cakes where the doll's dress becomes the cake.
    It could be used after modeling a doll out of edible Cake making ingredients. Then you could use this as the hair so that the whole cake itself is edible and there isn't a real doll in the center of it.

    I made this for the first time about 2ish years ago. It's actually really fun to make and it really works your arm muscles. It doesn't seem hard but man you'll feel some burning and be sore the next day.

      It's one of the hardest parts but there's several other factors as well like Consistency and the amount that you have to pull how you cook it and he didn't even give it a new coating every time he pulled.
      He made a great attempt but he didn't do it properly.

    It's called *Soan Papdi* in India. Pronounced as "son" with a delayed o. An amazing sweet dish with smell of cardamom but of course made of mostly melted sugar, and garnished with pistachhios.

    By the way, that’s how forging Damascus steel works. If you have a million layers Damascus steel, all that means that the blacksmith started off with say 10 thin sheets of different steel, forged them together, then kept cutting them in half and folding and then forging again for 16-17 times

      @@andyk5467 I'm pretty sure it's just the ancient art itself, like the recipe (method, process) thing. we know they folded steel a bunch, but they might have added something, or had a significant step that would have made it stronger. I'm honestly not sure.

    Actually we indians have been eating this type of sweet since centuries.Its Known As "Soan Papdi" , you can check that on TH-cam.
    We also add different types of flavours to it like saffron and almond soan papdi

      It's centuries old in China as well, that is where the name dragon's beard candy comes from. Usually wrapped into small pieces with crushed peanuts inside
