oh man, this is jazzy. i always loved how the game wasn't afraid to put funky bass guitar, woodwinds, organs, and rock drums together, and you pushed the style even further. great job!
"The ramp section was drastically changed when the track was featured in BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2, most likely because it was difficult to traverse without crashing out." And I now consider the OG Big Blue 2 "Big Blue 3". (After all, there was a Big Blue 3 in F-Zero X, GP Legend & Climax.)
If I remember right, they added that Alt Big Blue 2 to Deluxe when they released it. I'd have to check to see how you access it though, been a while. And yeah, that ramp section is rough. Tripped me up a few times.
Actually, the version of Big Blue II we got seems to be a chimera of its BSGP1 and BSGP2 iterations, with the layout and magnets from the former and the semi-arrow-shaped jump pad from the latter.
@@steveluvscows2490 Looking at it more closely, you're right. I'm not too familiar with the Satellaview courses, so I think I can be forgiven for not noticing. That's pretty cool!
Ngl, this came at a perfect timing, I was just re-listening to Silence II, pretty solid stuff! I like how energetic it sounds, and also how you kept the unintentional clap sound of the original! Part of me misses the organ riff of the OG, but that doesn't diminish the quality of this one at all!
i was already listening to a few of these, but i just found out theyre made by you. this whole time i thought they were remixes lost from satellaview or something. what im trying to say is wow. your remixes sound sick and feels like theyre straight from the game.
I noticed that there were a few fanmade cartridges of BS F-Zero Deluxe for Super Nintendo, and I was curious if they have this soundtrack. This is awesome!
BS F-Zero Deluxe doesn't come bundled with the F-Zero Expanded Soundtrack, but there is an MSU-1 patch for the hack that allows you to put them in if you'd like :3
@@CosmicTailz @CosmicTailz Okay. I was able to download a ROM and patch BS F-Zero Deluxe but I was stuck at importing the music into the game. I used Lunar IPS to install the Deluxe version into the ROM, as well as the MSU-1 patch, but I was a little confused on how implementing the music works.
The music is separate from the MSU-1 patch, the patch simply adds some code and replaces certain sound protocols in the ROM so that it reads external .pcm files in a similar manner to SEGA CD games. You can find the .pcms for the FZES in the description of this video: th-cam.com/video/GUw0h2ceIKQ/w-d-xo.html
For consistency with the original SNES game, of course. While it would be good if they corrected the error, I feel people might also find the change a little jarring.
to be completely honest I'm not sure if it'd be feasible to get the FZES into 99, as much as I'd like it to happen idk how many legal hurdles both me and them would have to go through
I realized too late while making this song that this is the same key that Mario Kart 8's Big Blue uses... whoops :P
It works though
That's unintentionally cool
In this case, it's a happy mistake
In the words of Bob Ross, we call these happy lil' accidents.
But this is almost syncs

It's Jazz Fusion if you're interested. Its associated with racing in Japan
At this point, Nintendo or someone should hire you, these are extremely high quality!
Provided they make a new F-Zero. Once they do that, they should hire him
@jacksonafton2169 ahh crap
@@mechaspyder179 her, I think.
Or put these in 99. The music
The extra little bit added really keeps me on my toes, a fun listen

Calling it right now, when we inevitably get Mirror Big Blue II in F-Zero 99, it'll be based on the OG version from BS GP1.

@@CosmicTailz I got it to work! Thanks for such a good soundtrack!
This one definitely has that 90s feel to it
This is great. My question to Nintendo is why does Big Blue 1 and Silence 1 not have a roman numeral by it in F-Zero 99?

Disappointed that Big Blue II-a wasn't included in 99 in the latest update.
Aren't you forgetting Mute City 4?
Mute City IV didn't appear until week 2 of BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2, and I'm doing these in order of appearance (not counting the BSFZGP2 practice cart)
