      Yeah except this is way better than anything elgato makes. Went through 2 HD portable capture cards & 2 4K portable capture cards. I will say elgatos pc capture card was great and had no issues but I’m rarely at home so that’s good for nothing.

    For me as a streamer the biggest thing holding me back from switching to Unify and Rode ecosystem in general is the lack of external control of Unify sliders. I need to have the ability to adjust volume of my audio channels without having to tab out of the game or any other sort of app, so an integration with the streamdeck or the ability to create a preset that would adjust the position of the slider to a certain value with a press of a pad on streamer x would be huge. Even if it is just "increase the volume of this channel by 10% with one press of this pad" sort of thing. Apart from that you guys are shaking up the market! RØDE one love

    Hoping for a Streamer Duo in the future with two video inputs and the ability to cut between them or setup PIP presets. Only one of the HDMI inputs will need a passthrough (for game), the other (camera) would not. This would also open it up to corporate broadcasting being able to pull in a camera + slides and easily stream out both with analog audio in as well.

      @@waltjennette Thanks for responding! The Sony ZV-E10 is a phenomenal camera. As you know the Rødecaster Pro II is very difficult to connect a camera to. The device shown in this video is a simple plug and go, where as with the Rødecaster Pro II, your video and audio cannot sink due to them not being able to connect without sacrificing something on either device. I recently saw on B&H’s TH-cam channel the day after making my initial comment that you can delay the audio on the Rødecaster Pro II to sink with audio. I will play with that feature on a practice Livestream to see if that would prevent me from having to edit the video post Livestream. Hi Ryan and RODE team, question! Why cannot the RODE Streamer X downscale the pass through from 4k to 1440p (or any other format)? I have connected my PS5 to the Streamer X at what it automatically picks 4K60, and the pass through to my ASUS 27" 1440p 155hz monitor, when I do this you get a screen pop up saying capture frame not supported, I unplug the pass through and then the capture card works just fine, this is on the Streamlabs streaming platform I am using to stream to Twitch. Is this because the hardware doesn't support it? I doubt it would be software as you would have fixed this with an update. Other than using a third party software or streaming solution like ecamm for example, its my understanding that we would need to purchase a 4k monitor for the streamer X to work? Is this correct? also, why wasn't this tested before distribution?

      @rodemic 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there and thanks for your questions about the Streamer X! Firstly, passthrough is just a feature to pass through the resolution you're sending to your Streamer X to an external location like a monitor. If you set your PS5 to output a 1440p signal, that may allow your signal be accepted by your Streamer X and monitor. "Downscaling" is not an advertised feature of the device.

      @@rodemic Thank you, I gather when designing this device PS5 and XBOX users were kept in mind, and I'm pretty confident Rode should have a PS5 lying around your offices somewhere, as it should have been tested, right? Can you assist us as to how you downscale the PS5 output? so that the Streamer X passes through at 1080p or 1440p?

    Will it work with the Sony PlayStation 5 though, PlayStation have always made it difficult to connect 3rd party audio devices via USB 2 or USB-C in the fact it never recognises them, so you can’t use them easily.
    If you can use it direct with a PS5… you’re amazing and I’ll have one. :) 😊

    This seems o be an amazing device! However, some questins remain unanswered:
    1.) If I replace my curerent audio interface by the Streamer X, how do I connect and control my audio monitors, which are currently connectedd (balanced cables) to my audio interface?
    2.) How much gain can the audio interface deliver for dynamic microphones and how can I monitor the microphone gain on the interface itself?
    3.) Can I loop back the audio from my computer and what is the latency under optimal circumstances?
    4.) How can I see, which function underlies the colored buttons on the right side - especially with 64 different ones?
    Thank you in advance!

      Hey Dirk, some answers for you:
      1) If your monitors allow for a stereo input (3.5mm, for example) you can use the headphone output on your Streamer X or go directly from your computer. If you need balanced 1/4-inch outputs for your monitors, you'll need to use an interface such as the AI-1 that has a stereo pair of 1/4-inch balanced outputs.
      2) The Streamer X can provide 76dB of input gain for your microphone input and you can adjust the output gain of the microphone channel within RØDE Central. The left encoder ring LED will give you an indication of the input gain level you have set, and the input channel select LED above it will flash red if your signal is clipping.
      3) Yes! If you connect your computer to the Streamer X with an additional USB cable plugged into USB 2, you can adjust volume, routing and mixing of the USB 2 channel via RØDE Central or UNIFY to customise your computer's audio loopback.
      4) When connected to RØDE Central or UNIFY, you'll be able to see (and rename) each SMART pads contents, whether its a sound pad, voice effects, mixer action or MIDI command.
      Hope that helps clarify things for you!

    What I notice with Ecamm and my Rode Wireless Pros is that the audio DB is always a lot lower than when I record directly to my camera. Is there a fix for this? I purchased a Streamer X to think the amp would help. Any ideas here?

      You just need to turn the volume of your mic up. This can be done from RØDE Central by adjusting the "Volume" setting on the reciever.

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question. The Streamer X will maintain some functionality as an audio interface when using it with regular USB 2.0 cables and ports. However, the device will not function as a capture card unless it is plugged into a port capable of USB 3.1 and using a cable which is USB 3.1 or higher. If your USB 3.1 port on your computer is USB type A, then you will also need a converter which supports USB 3.1 speeds.

    Was this video made with the Streamer X? I ask because I am wondering what features the Streamer X has to help creators meet loudness goals? I notice creators fall several dB short of TH-cam standards. However, this video was only 0.3 dB low which is amazing. How do creators meet those standards easily?

    • @TheREAPERBlog
      @TheREAPERBlog ปีที่แล้ว

      The video was clearly edited and mixed, not live.
      If it was live and you wanted it this loud then you use compression on your mic in the Streamer-X and a limiter in OBS.
      Remember, TH-cam's playback normalization level is not a target level. People can turn up something that is well mixed and just a couple dB low, TH-cam will automatically turn down audio that's above a certain level (roughly -14 LUFS-I), and pushing beyond that will just sound distorted at any level. Make it sound good, and keep it consistent.

    • @matthew.datcher
      @matthew.datcher ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheREAPERBlog Thanks. What I was hoping was that Streamer X would include platform-specific compression/limiting presets to assist creators in getting consistent audio.
