Excellent question, it's really good. I think it could have been better, but it is still a worthy upgrade. If you have the old edition, I don't think you need to rebuy unless you absolutely love this game, but I see no reason to buy or play the old one now.
@@WonderfulPlays I am a casual player that plays with friends mostly. I found out about the new edition when we decided to play online (corona and all that stuff). We didnt know which one to pick so we went with the new edition. While researching this new version i ran into your channel. Overal i like the new combo system (altar and theater directly going to age 3) and the A version no longer using 2 of the same resource (mausoleum A, lighthouse A, Artemis A). But i wonder how the pros feel about it. Do you consider altar to be viable in age 1 now? Does the lack of 2x the same grey resources help the A sides? If you can play both, do you prefer the new one? Is babylon B better? should rhodos A be changed? So my question is more, how does the new edition change your strategy. Can people suddenly blow your mind by doing things that the new edition allows them to.. Also, if i may be so rude. Could you ever do some kind of guide on the game for a noob. Like what are you looking for, what resources are good, what are different strategies a built around. When do you change them. You seem quite flexible, but your choices seem to rely on things i cannot comprehend. You go from a 1 of each green set to going military without any problems. Or say card X is bad when i cannot understand it.
@@anonvideo738 great suggestion. I will try to do a guide for newer players. To answer your questions: 1. Altar is a good pick in age1, I really like how it impacted the game. 2. Yeah A sides are definately better, but usually you still want to play B side on gray wonders. 3. I prefer the new edition 4. Babylon B is better, it's a lot of fun, but not over the top now. 5. Rhodos A should be changed, but it can still be played 6. Blow my mind? I hope so and that would propably be a creative play on olympia night or finding that A gray side is better than the B one.
@@WonderfulPlays how do you feel about theater. Before theater felt better since it was 2->4->5 instead of 2->3->7 (altar combo). But now they immediately go to the final stage altar is objectively better.
Nice to see a game with more players, and interesting to hear about the changes in strategy.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Would love to see more games with higher player count (>4) as it's something you don't see at home often.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to cover that in the future.
Hopefully you can upload more of these live 5-6P+ in the future, they are awesome.
Thanks, some are coming for sure! :)
What's your opinion on the new edition at the moment? You seem pretty excited about the new possibilities.

@@anonvideo738 Theater is the worst one out of all the 4, but not by much. It's still a 3 pointer.
Do you play live on Twitch or some streaming platform?
