- Do not do this to a Philippine Flag! Do not damage the Philippine flag. Allow the flag to touch the ground. Use the Philippine flag as a decoration. Display a torn or faded Philippine flag in public places. Alter the design or colors of the flag. Use the Philippine flag for commercial purposes. And lastly, you should not flip the Philippine Flag.

@@JeyC_
No, we aren't.
Always has been
@@JeyC_ every symbol in the flag represents something, from the elements like the sun and 3 stars, its colors, to its composition. It is also the identity of our country. Altering the flag may change the meaning and identity that the flag represents. It is also disrespectful to the flag and to the country as a whole.
Moreover, *there is no such thing as "true freedom."* To preserve freedom means restricting it in some ways. That's why we have laws. Otherwise, I could go to someone's house and sleep there, or even put a knife on someone's chest, for the fun of it, and I will not be punished because *_"I am truly free."_*
@@JeyC_ and also, even the slightest change can change the identity of the flag. Add one more star and see what happens. The blue part becomes purple and suddenly, it doesn't represent peace. The red part becomes pink and suddenly, it doesn't represent bravery. Change one thing and it is *not* the Philippine flag anymore.
Moreover, it must be taken care of and be treated with respect for its value is worth more than physical matters. And for the part where commercial use is not allowed, one could argue that it just stops us from representing our country. However, it is hard to identify if someone who does use it commercially does it to represent our country or to represent their products or such as there is no sound and accurate basis to follow when it comes to things like this.
