I played in a game recently where someone played Bob. I can't remember who anyone else played. Bob outshined everyone so much. He didn't do a single point of damage or get a single clue. What he did was jump-start the other two decks so fast that we won the game without it being close at all. We were all trying to draw cards just to get more things for Bob to play for us. I really doubted him till I saw him in action. Patrice is who I'm playing now in EotE. She's fast becoming my favorite investigators. My deck is based on thinning my deck and cycling the same really good cards over and over while making myself have high willpower and Minds Eye to pass any test the game makes me take. Edit: our fighter was Zoey and I played Norman to get clues.
I'm never gonna' be convinced of the value of Bob for other people's economies until I see it in-game, which sounds like it might've been the case for you, which is a good sign. I'm interested in the Patrice concept. Aside from playing out assets, what are the types of cards you're running to thin out your deck? I'm not as well versed in Survivor yet and no cards immediately spring to mind.

Dude my accent is bizarre and no one, myself included, seems to know where it came from. I'm from southern Louisiana, but my family doesn't have much of an accent. That said, I don't speak like them. My parents weren't around for a lot of my childhood and I watched a whole lot of content on the internet, so my accent is likely some amalgamation of the content I consumed when I was a kid.
