🌈 Summary
MC has just moved to a new town, sent into exile by his dad. He sticks out at school and ends up attracting some bullies. He misses the bus on the first day, which leads to him having to walk home. On his way back home, he runs into a group of bullies. They try to get him to give them his shoes, but he doesn’t want them. An altercation leads to them beating him up and he ends up passing out. Luckily for him, someone saw what happened and chased the bullies off him. He wakes up in that person’s house later on. The guy who saved him is called Soul and he goes to school with him. Once he has patched MC up, he takes him home. MC is beyond grateful for the help, and he takes a liking to Soul. However, when Soul drops him off, he finds out Soul is gay. This makes him uncomfortable because he grew up in a homophobic household. Soul takes it upon himself to help MC out at school even though MC is not that comfortable. Since the bullies are scared of Soul, who is quite big and scary-looking, MC sticks with him. He ends up spending a lot of time with Soul and his friends. MC is amazed at how normal gay people act and how nice they are. He likes how respectful they are of him and how they include him in things. MC and Soul end up going camping one day, where they get lost together. They end up sharing a moment where Soul teases MC by pretending to be a bear and MC runs into his arms. They share another moment weeks later when they bike out of town to go to a store Soul likes. While there, Soul and MC have a heart-to- heart where Soul guesses that MC has a lot that he is hiding which is hurting him. When MC goes home, he is triggered, and memories of his past come back. He remembers his dad beating him for saying he wanted to marry his male best friend. He calls Soul and confides in him about this. He also tells Soul about his friend back home who accidentally got outed when messages between them were leaked and how he feels responsible. Soul gives him emotional support which helps him feel better. Two weeks later, it is Soul’s birthday and MC has gotten him a collector’s card he always wanted. Soul kisses MC on the cheek and MC kisses back. But he kisses Soul on the lips. He admits that he has been crushing on Soul for a while but hiding his urges because of his internalized homophobia. Soul understands his process and says that they can take things slow, which they do.

I have always felt who I would be attracted to, but it doesn't matter if you are attracted to boys or girls because it's up you to decide who you will find attractive. Many young adults between the ages of 18-30 will have an attraction to the same gender despite how they were raised because most families will not accept someone who is gay, lesbian or bisexual but there are people who will accept you for who you are. Never feel pressured to whoever you're arttracted to because in the end, love ❤️ is love ❤️ and we should respect everybody regardless of their sexual identity and accept them.

This story definitely has the most realistic depiciton of a homophobic person compared to the rest of these stories. He's pretty cruel and super unlikable, yet still complex enough to make you want to stick around for at least 5 minutes.

I wasn't really raised by my parent(s) but straight people. They never talked about other "possibilities" but them being married since their were together back in they school life was the only thing I grew up. School didn't teached this either so having feelings for a girl for the first time was foreign and so confusing to me. I denied it right away by my own, not knowing that it is normal. It happened two more times over the years and I figured out that I just don't care what biology the person has but the person's self. I questioned myself over and over again if this makes me bi or a lesbian or something else. But I did had relationships with guys only, since I denied myself for this long. I don't care anymore. I'm me and currently pretty happy 🙂
