@@selenagrinage5631 There are more pigtails, Rose is just the most featured. They live in mixed groups and breed together. Most Longtails in this troop have some pigtail genes (which is mostly not so obvious because LT genes dominate the exterior looks).
@@selenagrinage5631 a very long time ago there weren't mixed long-tail and pigtail groups but when humans started taking them as pets - when they were to old & to hard to manage - they dropped them off at the closest temple - which was usually a long tail group. From what I understand, scientists were not sure they could even live cohesively (and have kids) but apparently they can.
On my that looks like something to use on Halloween to terrify the neighborhood. She used to be such a gorgeous baby. I don't think I will watch videos of her any more because I sound mean. But she is a basket case.

@@haleyoneil9172 her mom has aggressively groomed all her babies, this is the outcome. No parasites, pulled out by mom. Mom is full of milk and won't share a tiny bit.

I think some of them are genuinely scared when mom starts weaning. Maybe they are really hungry at the time and think they will starve to death or that mom suddenly hates them. There is fear in their voices. After they get use it it, yeah, I think those are tantrums and the sound of the voice reflects that (except SweetPea, it was always just a tantrum).
@nobody Uknow - That's some really good insight! You're right; you can perceive the fear in their voices and hear the difference between when they are scared and when they are just throwing a tantrum.
nobody Uknow a good theory but they scream formilk between mouthfuls of food and looking at the size of her she’s had it better than most as it seems to be the trend at the moment that nursing starts to be restricted by the time the babies area week old. Personally I think as with any child if it wants something and it’s denied then the ceaseless harassment and screaming starts an attempt to wear their mother down.i don’t think fear her mother hates her or fear that she will starve are factors in this or a lot of cases it’s just a way of trying to get milk.
@@jaxcatterall4389 Wasn't speaking of this girl in particular. She has definitely been eating for some time. It's more with the infants during their first weaning or if they are truly hungry because they just didn't get enough sold food that day (moms may be responsible for that themselves since they often snitch food from their own babies). Their is a pain from deep down, especially with animals.
One baby, I mentioned before - I *think* it was Kari, freaked out when her mother first started weaning. But her crying seemed to be more about mom herself, than the milk. Baby "Somethings wrong with mom!!! She won't let me drink. I think she's dying!!!"

And only the macaque infant is like this where they lose their mind if they cant sick on mommy 24/7. Or even die of fatal insecurity.. All Jade's kids have alopecia. But Julina is by far the biggest drama queen. Has been since birth. And clearly she still is. She's funny to watch though.

Julina is a mess but it could be because her mother was so mean to her when she was an infant. At 12 days old Jade regularly bit her.
You can see bite marks on her face as an infant. Julina was ignored and mistreated through her sad short life. She was nursed enough to grow and have a measure of health.
Julina was born in Dec in 2018 so is still considered a baby. Is she crying because she’s hungry for milk or is she begging for attention and comfort from her mother?
Her mother has groomed her head so much she’s bald.

I'm a psychologist and this monkey has a lot of mental issues because she did not have a good childhood, she was beaten up all the time if you remember. She has a lot of anxiety that's why when she is alone she pulls her hair out and that's her comfort. She needs a lot of love.

BS. I've seen her baby videos and she did nothing but suck on mom around the clock.. Her mother needed a break and julina went insane from having to let the tit go for a minute. Now she's grown up and still acting like an infant... Idk why macaque Infants are the most useless of all animal species on earth. They can actually die from fatal insecurity if they aren't clinging to mommy and sucking on the tit 24/7... Idk how they aren't extinct.. Just because the Infants are unable to even function unless they are clinging.. Even if the thing they're clinging to is trying to kill them. (see Kayla and Kaya).. Question is, what evolutionary purpose do a species have to have infants that are so dependent that 1 minute away from nursing could mean insanity all the way to dying from fright. Analyze that doc.
