Bills of Material in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Overview

In Business Central, there are two types of Bills of Material you can use:
- Production BOM: can be used in conjunction with a routing, typical type used in manufacturing of goods. Has more complex costing and can also be used in conjunction with subcontractors.
- Assembly BOM: A more simplistic way of kitting or assembling, and you need to track the time/cost of the person putting together (or taking apart) the item(s).
