I would have added a powder room (assuming they don’t have one!) - will add value and be functional. That living room is still small AF. I would have perhaps looked into repositioning the staircase to create more usable room. Where does a TV go for his football? Great transformation overall - these are just my little things I would have explored doing
Agree. The $31K spent on flooring would be better spent on moving the stairs, powder room, and bigger family room with wall for TV and more seating. This is too chopped up into fussy little areas that are dysfunctional. Fridge and kitchen sink are also too far apart.
I thought they were gonna move the staircase and increase the living space too. I think it would’ve been better if they blew out the wall in the dining space.
I would have made the kids playroom and their original living room all one space for the living room....perhaps they couldn't take that wall down? Then their new living room be the mudroom area and their new mudroom a bathroom haha wow I've been watching too many reno shows.
31.000 just for a floor? when you have money to burn you can do everything. i renovated my house (flooring, new kitchen, new furniture) for 23.000 and it does not look so much different.
We also renovated our home during lockdown and did the main floor, built a backyard deck, new front steps and added spare room with ensuite in basement……for a LOT less than this. We knocked out the wall for open concept all by ourselves.
😂 I honestly laughed because I thought the same.. Wow. 31,000 is crazy.
thats no probably for the flooring for the whole house
I assume the 31K is for flooring for the entire downstairs. I would expect that's what it costs for real wood these days. Everyone is using engineered wood or laminate now.
She really outdid herself on that one. Wonderful!
Looks great! Only real critique, pocket doors should have been a must.
Very nice improvement! Spending $30,000 on floors though is just mind-boggling. I found the wife's reactions completely flat 🤔
Brilliant lay-out. Love it!
Love you jasmine
So confused about walling in the fireplace losing 2 ft of floor space…
Love all the storage!
I just want to know…What is the name of paint color you used for the walls. Love it
Fantastic job well done
This is one of her better floorplan redos. The layout gained functionality.
Colorwise its like a 2nd rate hotel lobby. Think the living needed a bold pattern on the one wall and dining area needed a wall with color. Kitchen needed color as well.
I'm not a fan of banguet seating, i hope there's a folding area and ironing board in the laundry room but the house looks more sofisticated and bright
Very beautiful! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Nice, but appears there is no bathroom on that main floor. If so, for such a big first floor area, that’s not right. Maybe it’s located right up the stairs on 2nd floor?
I totally missed that and there is plumbing for the laundry so it wouldn’t have been to hard.
I agree a bathroom would be useful.
I love a fireplace. It's too bad they couldn't have figured out another place for it. I'm not a fan of the new layout. As long as they like it, that's all that matters.
❤🎉😊Super amazing🎉🎉🎉
never understood why people don t like an allready excisting fireplace ...why no powder-room?
Change huge L sofa for a 3 seater and an armchair...wow. But that would solve the issue in there existing living room as it was originaly, there was no need to burn all that money just to get even smaller living room space. Changing the stairs shape would solve it much better. Ortaking down just thatone wall betwean kids corner and living room. I don't like this solution at all. Its money down the drain and issue of small living space still there
So these ppl don't watch tv?
Is that obligatory? No TV in my house neither..
Like 🤍😒
Why do some American women growl when they talk?
Why are you so critical? I am sure your countries women have quarks as well. Most Americans are very nice.
