Hallooooo, darling Janet! I am a transplanted Scot living in the Southern U.S. (I think I've told you that before....) and here there are Cardinals that the locals call "red birds". The lovely myth here is that they are visitors from Heaven come to check on us and let us know our loved ones are thinking of us. This is also said of dragonflies, and I adore both. I've some gorgeous blown glass cardinals that my late husband bought me in Germany ages ago. I treasure them 😊I adore to hear the cuckoo ticking away in the background! Reminds me of my Scottish Gran and her wonderful kitchen - all of the delicious smells of things baking at Christmastime. Thank you for evoking those precious memories for me, Janet. I am so grateful! Much, much love and bless to you and to dear Freddie xoxo
Lindsey lovely to see you, oh yes Robins and cardinals are so special, I just can’t help to stop and chat with them when they visit. Your glass Cardinals must be so special to you. How lovely to be transported back in time to Scotland, sounds can bring back such lovely memories can’t they. Take good care Lindsey. 🩵🫖
💜🎶Good day Janet.. Happy flip through Friday .. Thanks for flipping through your mini comfort journal.. I love the opening of the doors ! So sweet .. I bought another Christmas cactus today .. they were 1/2 price because all the blooms were gone .. but I had a spot of it ! I hear your clock 🕯.. Ahh there he is ..welcome home , Colin 💜🎶🇨🇦
Caroline good afternoon/evening so lovely to see you 💜 I am keeping you and the family in my heart. I haven’t seen a Christmas cactus whilst shopping this year, great to get one half price, it will be lovely to nurture it. As I write little Colin called out 10 times to say hi to you 💜🎶
Janet, I filled you because of the lovely journals you create, but I have to tell you, you’re a great storyteller. I read via audiobooks, and you have one of the most soothing and relaxing voices I’ve heard. I’d listen to you read poetry or even a kids book all day long. I’ve made similar tiny scrappy journals, and they ended up being my favourite to work in. No rhyme nor reason, just sticking in any little random bits I love. I love working in a theme, but not having one is also a lot of fun, and so freeing.
Oh thank you for your encouraging words I do appreciate them. Oh I so agree, a little no rhyme or reason journal is so relaxing. I do hope you have a chance this weekend to create a little. 🩵
