this is actually a relatable song for me and for others especially for asian kids. Both my parents are engineer (my dad is a licensed civil engineer but mom didn't take the licensure exam because my dad wanted her to be a house wife but still my mom graduated mechanical engineering) and my dad really wanted me to become a civil engineer like him and he keeps telling me that he can help me get jobs after I graduate as he is a very well connected guy which really is a very big advantage for me tbh. The thing is I am so bad with math and I even failed my STATISTICS subject in 12th grade which is why I decided to pursue medschool instead which really is not a bad option.

The trick to singing this is NOT trying to scream it or put any rasp/metal tone in your voice, rather just singing each part with the correct power (like MP on the verse and Forte/MF on the chorus/outro verse) and it'll naturally give that metal rasp in the chorus parts.. Otherwise you'll go Numb I learned to sing this one perfectly every time as my favorite Chester tribute (I used to sing other Linkin Park songs at karaoke for like 10+ years)
