For me Bollywood peaked in 2016 with Dangal.
It’s like a switch went off and they all started making garbage all together.
2006 & 2007 with Akshay’s resurgence as a romantic-comedic star with Katrina in film like Namaste London, Singh is King, Welcome, De Dana Dan etc & 2008-2009 Salman & Aamir’s Wanted, Dabangg & Ghajni truly began a gold few years for Bollywood.
So I agree 2006 is the start of this last great decade… ended in 2016.
Interestingly Aamir made his comeback in 2005/2006 with Mangal Panday & Rang De Basanti & then ended with 2016’s Dangal.
It’s been 6+ years of darkness!
2011 was the GOATed year for music, india wasn't ready for the greatest album (imo), ROCKSTAR.....
1998 dil se is india's best hindi album ever but not a single song shown.

being a GenZ ofc early 2000s brought the nostalgia for me, especially the time of behti hawa sa tha woh, kinda iss time tak emotions samajh aane shuru ho gye the, but I am a forever Lata Mangeshkar and Md. At 1995 DDLJ when you realise it’s 30 years ago.
Rockstar, Aashiqui 2, Gangster and a few other albums are masterpieces of Bollywood. Although there's plenty of trash that's coming out every other day, but I still have high hopes for another banger album in the future.

It is not the video of particular songs of each year, they have skipped lot of years.
All it is shown the singers of each decade and how the styles of music is changed. Because all the categories songs are mixed here.
In between the eras , I blame T-series because they started remaking every songs blindly. While, they promised in starting that if they get to know some talented artist they would help those artist in production of there song including marketing. But in reality they took songs and gave to there own regular artist.
