@@JoelWende I have been a Bowie fan my entire life and you can definitely tell that Harry is a big fan. some of the outfits he has been wearing are very nearly direct rip offs or heavily inspired by things Bowie was wearing around the Diamond Dogs and Young Americans era. and yeah I get what you are saying about not hearing Bowie specifically in his music that is fair enough man. your opinion. but there is definitely the inspiration there. he seems to be trying to fuse genre and not sticking to one specific thing like Bowie used to do. at the very least he is not trying to sound exactly like anyone. .....and rolling in his grave?? really? that sounds so petty. This was a great reaction! Harry is super talented and you should react to his entire "Fine Line" album (falling is on that album) along with his self-titled debut album. As for the music video he loves symbolism and so everything in the video means something. Here's my interpretation of the video as a big fan of Harry The piano seems to represent his outlet, the thing that lets his emotions flow. Music. Music is Harry's escape, it always has been. The water represents his sadness/emotions. As the song goes on he gets more lost in his sadness and eventually feels like he's drowning in it (when he goes underwater). Harry is not fighting the emotion, he doesn't try to swim to the surface, he just let's it take him. Harry has always been one to feel his emotions to the fullest, the boys always used to say he cried the most out of all of them. Basically, harry is using his escape to let his emotions overtake him before he can be okay again (the beginning scene of the water draining). The scene at the beginning shows us he did not drown, he survived. In my interpretation he's telling us that no matter how far into your emotions and your sadness you think you are you can always survive, you won't drown. He's telling us that even when you're suffocating and you're drowning in your sorrows you will be okay. He's telling us that through everything we'll be alright :') I absolutely loved your reaction and hope you react to more of Harry's music. :)
Also, Harry does some fantastic covers. His cover of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac got him some award nominations. Also his recent cover of Juice by Lizzo was fantastic. He's really good about giving these covers just enough of his own personal style without taking away the integrity of the song, and he and his band perform them so well.

I too love how he puts his uniqueness into a cover, but doesn't change the authenticity of the original. On another note, how can he look so masculine wearing a pearl necklace and little doily collar?! As James Corden said, "There's nothing the man can't wear." If you want rock inspired I would recommend Kiwi, either him performing it live or the music video. Harry is an amazing live performer, so anything you find of him live would be fantastic. One of my favorites songs of his, but has yet to actually be released (only performed live), is Medicine. Adore You extended music video is a really fun and interesting music video to watch, it has this little story in the beginning that just sucks you in even before the music starts. If you want more bright, try Golden or Sunflower, Vol. 6. If you want more soulful, maybe She or Meet Me in the Hallway. And of course there is Sign of the Times, which is a big one for him. I also really like Carolina, Cherry, To Be so Lonely, Sweet Creature, Only Angel, Fine Line, and Lights Up. Actually most of his solo stuff is really good.
