Subbed just from the intro (lol) but good theory. Also, about him retaining memories of how to fight... I do know that different areas of the brain are in charge of emotional memories, traumatic memories, and muscle memory. A person with amnesia can forget all of their life story, yet retain the ability to write or speak. Link's amnesia is basically how dissociative amnesia works for traumatic memories. To be able to function and move on in life, the brain can dissociate memories from the consciousness to allow functionality. And they can be triggered by reminders. So yes, without the amnesia he'd be way less effective at his goal. The amount of guilt he'd have would be devastating. But whether or not this is caused by trauma, brain damage, a coma, or a divine gift... it certainly worked as intended.
This is a great theory that I’m taking as my personal canon now. Also the video quality is amazing and the music really helps drive the suspense of your narrative. Great job!
This is a great theory but as I recall the quest is called Captured Memories. It is very hard to tell because there isn't enough insight on Link's personality but having his memory loss could have a preventive measure so that Link would not rush straight to Hyrule Castle just to be slain due to his weakened state. Also Link must have had a minimum of 13 hearts 100 years before because he couldn't have acquired the master sword otherwise.
I assure you the quest Impa gives link after obtaining the camera rune is Locked Memories. I agree with the 13 hearts needed to draw the master sword 100 years ago.
Thanks so much! I have a few more coming down the line, I’m just seeing if I can hold out until 1000 subs. Getting supper close but the next video is ready to drop and I have two more in the works!
Wow thank you so much! I’m glad you liked it! Improving everyday. Got some olde videos I’ll be uploading… maybe I’ll have to redo the voice of it, or release it as is, not quite sure yet but thanks!
Part of Hylia’s plan to defeat Demise was WILLINGLY GIVING UP HER DIVINITY and being reborn in a mortal form. Ultimately her plan failed due to Demise casting the curse but that does not mean that when the original Zelda died Hylia became a goddess again. It’s possible a small bit of her powers lingered that the Sheikah were able to tap into with the spirit orbs to grant Link strength but Hylia the Goddess does not exist.
Yeah Zelda definitely doesn’t become the goddess again. You right. And the Goddess Hylia does not become a goddess again. That isn’t what I mean. When people talk about the goddesses plans, they talk about it as she along with her disciples the Sheikah, saw through time and provides instruction for how to deal with things. It’s also theorized that just as Zelda in skyward sword reawakens her memories as Hylia, that other Zelda’s could as well. And thereby unlocking the goddesses memories, they tap into her knowledge and study of time. But more specifically what a lot of us mean when we say divine guidance from the goddess Hylia, is the Sheikah attribute their abilities and knowledge to the goddess Hylia. This is in game fact, and lore. Everything they do is in the name of the goddess and they believe it to be by her guidance that they do things. Especially in BOTW. We do not understand exactly what that communication looks like, nor how they recieve this guidance, whether it’s by looking back to a time when she was alive or whether they can tap into speaking to her spirit. But what is not meant is that she is alive and kicking in goddess form. It’s also not clear if each Zelda we work with is a reincarnation of Hylia in human form, or just descended from her bloodline, but there are hints at both being a possibility. (All this not assuming Hylia is the goddess of time)
I remember a lot of my own failures and I wonder what would happen if I forgot them all. I don't think I would end well for me specifically. We grow from our failures, after all. Still, Link is a different story. He did learn. He knows that a Savage Lynel Crusher with a damage buff is superior to the Master Sword.
When recalling an old memory from 100 years ago, he seems to suffer a bit of a headache trying to remember something he had forgotten. He feels something is there and trying very hard to recall a memory.
I did notice that when he gets to a “familiar” location his brow furrows. This can be both because he is struggling to remember, or because it is something he knows he should remember but can’t, then either he remembers it, or it unlocks. Either way I imagine it would be an uncomfortable experience.
Brain Damage can be caused due to lacking Oxygen after stopping Breathing - the braincells would slowly start to decay. But only because some areas are destroyed, that doesn't mean that they will never be able to think properly, because they can learn it again.
That last point makes a lot of sense! They are called a "locked memories" not lost memories. That is extremely clever.
Why thank you good Pirate Sir!

Absolutely and thanks for the additional supportive evidence! Whether intentional of not it is definitely for the best!
Also glad you liked the intro 😂 It was way mor difficult than it should have been. Hahahaha animation isn’t exactly in my skill set.

I always wondered that.
Right!? The Sheikah so readily accept that it was likely to happen but never state why!
Brain Damage can be caused due to lacking Oxygen after stopping Breathing - the braincells would slowly start to decay.
But only because some areas are destroyed, that doesn't mean that they will never be able to think properly, because they can learn it again.
Brain injuries are crazy and it’s amazing what can happen to the brain and have it still work.
