Enjoying the series w/each of the zodiac signs. As a early rising Aquarius, laughter took ahold of me relating to “The great joke about Aquarians”
“ Aquarians love humanity but hate people”. Thank you for your in-depth insights!

A wise young man once said “in Philosophy it’s not that there are no answers it’s just that the answers are very difficult to find.” I think what I enjoy the most about your time spent with us is your love of wisdom. I completely zone in, and listen. I don’t jump quickly to agree or form an opinion. Just to listen to you explain things from your point of view. It’s quite fascinating…thank you for explaining these misconceptions, I didn’t realize how much of it stems from long ago?

As an Aquarius moon this resonated deeply. My whole life, in every arena, has been marked by the inability to fit in and being perfectly happy about it. I was born with a mistrust of crowds and trends and whatever I perceived ‘everyone else’ to be doing was something I needed to avoid.

Aquarius needs solitude to think before joining the crowd. Every aquarius I know has friends but they are also individuals who do their own thing. I’m aqua sun and I’ll switch off and ‘detach’ from everyone.

I would also say that Aquarius definitely has strong, fixed opinions. They are definitely strong headed along with their Fixed/Solid sign peers (Taurus, Sco, Leo). That often gets overlooked because of the “humanitarian” stereotype

Not misconceptions or stereotypes! It’s real. Couldn’t do without them. Husband, mother & and a dear friend are all Aquarians - so they are the bedrock of my life. But they will always give more to the needy person ‘out there’ (who they’ve never met, or don’t really have a proper relationship with) than they give to loved ones around them. And sometimes I worry about how worried THEY are about what’s going on in the ‘world’. You can spend a lot of time trying to talk an Aquarian down off the Apocalyptic ‘edge’ - particularly over the last 2 years! But they have taught me a lot of tough philosophical lessons and, as a Capricorn, I know tough when I see it!

I am loving this series...and with a stellium (sun, mercury and mars) in Aquarius (5H) I was particularly interested to listen. (Libra rising) I took away so many rich gems and put together a short list of takeaway key themes: Social tension, dichotomy, conceptual analysis of "progress," and opposition. Through my own filter and personal reflection, I might add a pervasive dissatisfaction with how things are...a chronic mental engagement with "what could be" and "what's wrong with society." I really resonate with these themes. Additionally, I have always reveled in being a bit "outside" of the trends...and enjoy bucking the social order...but to do so, requires an awareness of what that social order is. Thereby, speaking again to that dichotomous awareness. Thank you for this enriching content and for your time in offering this to us 🙏

Aqua stellium here- including my Sun and all personal planets. Interesting video. I agree with the three misconceptions. I believe that Aquarians are hard for most people to get to know or understand. I have never known one who "fits in" nor do they care. Very few people get me and my Aries moon doesn't help- but those who do are never bored by me.

Yes you are right Acyuta describing us as dichotomy. I'm an Aquarius Rising/sun & Mercury. My sister says I'm such a girly girl yet every weekend you will find me on the sideline of a soccer match. I love going into city centre & spending the the day mooching around but I hate crowds. I have several different circles of friends but I really enjoy my own company most. And family & friends were surprised to find that I'm pro-life during the referendum a couple of years ago because I'm very "open minded" their words. I like routine but I love doing stuff off the cuff too. I just love surprises in life x

This has been such an interesting dive into the sign. I appreciate the way you elaborate your ideas so I transcribed some of my favorite parts:
“The outer planets can depict some of the ways in which archetypal seasons of life were unfolding in the collective, but it is to say that is a very particular niche way of thinking about things, to asume that we are in the brink of a major level up in consciousness, tends to look at history in a very linear way. Ancient astrologers tend to look at it in a circular way, that light and dark ages progress and regress historically, culturally, sociatally happen, and in some cases have been happening eternally, whereas often the view ends up having the most dominant voice about the qualities of Aquarius comes from a lot of very particular ideas about history and progress and the linear nature of time and apocalipsis and big leaps in consciousness that will take us forward... none of which are necessarily new and none of which are/have ever really been a dominant way of thinking about ages or the sign of Aquarius through the thousand of years of astrological history.”
“Saturn signifies as much as the rebellious reformer as much as it signifies the establishment or the tradition.
Oppositions were to said to be of the nature of Saturn whose signs (Capricorn and Aquarius) stand in opposition to those of the Sun and the Moon in the classical Thema Mundi chart of the World. And just like an opposition includes two realities simultaneously with the potential for polarization or union (Saturn is exalted in the sign of Libra, The Scales) so it is Saturn in its very nature, contain fundamentalists and heratics, contemplatives and depression, black sheeps and the establishment, limitation and the mystical urging of those creatives souls cursed by Saturn.”
“The saturnian energy can be as much as preserving a status quo or establishment against what are seen as rebellious forces as it can be about the rebellious force itself (...) Which interesting is that the same spirit, the same ‘avant garde’, defiant maverick renegade spirit would be present in people across the board, no matter whether they are defending something they consider to be worthy of defending against some kind of outside force, or if they are trying to abandon a tradition or move something forward into an area of newness... the same kind of eccentric rebellious defiance energy is often there."
I hope this relates correctly to your expressed ideas.
    Thank you as always!

Interesting and eye-opening. I'm so grateful for my Aquarius sun Nonna (Half Italian grandmother), she exuded a joy of life and it was contagious. I only learned a few years ago that Aquarius suns are not as gregarious as I thought (thru a deep connection with one who was had a Scorpio ASC and Moon). I have a grand trine in Air, and Saturn in Aqua,-9th house. I love "New Age" energy.

I once had a vision of Saturn (Capricorn and Aquarius) as being the dark reflection of the Sun (Leo) and the Full Moon (Cancer). I have since read that in some magickal traditions Saturn has sometimes been referred to as the Black Sun, which has be associated with Capricorn. However in my vision it made sense to me that Aquarius could then be considered as the Black Moon or New Moon. Of course this was just something that came to me and I have never read anything to confirm this. But I have found it a beautiful and useful analogy to use as Mars/Venus and Mercury/Jupiter also have their own dark and light or masculine and feminine reflections of one another. Maybe I'm also just another Contrarian Aquarian!

    • @inmagiasiderum5612
      @inmagiasiderum5612 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I like this analogy. But for me, I think Capricorn is the house of the 'Black Moon' because it is an earthy feminine nocturnal sign and opposite of the house of the Moon which is Cancer. And I think Aquarius is the house of the 'Black Sun' because it is opposite of Leo-the house of the Sun which is the source of light.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! ✨

Aquarius sun, venus, mercury 9H, yes I do tend to see everything that is wrong with human nature or systems, I have a problem solving mind that wants to aim towards progress. I have in the past felt very frustrated with people due to this and wondering why they don't see the way I do, but thankfully have learned to become more tolerant and patient (while still doing what I can in areas of advocacy, educating others etc). I do need time alone to recharge though, I take in so much (am diagnosed autistic, sensitive to input such as light, sounds, others talking too much if its not useful/intelligent/wise discussion)

Aquarian Sun and Mercury with a Capricorn AC here. This was brilliant! And so spot on with regards to the Aquarian dichotomies in thinking and the mark of being different and having a simultaneous focus on moving something forward while at the same time preserving the status quo. Whether abandoning tradition or defending it…always the maverick!

Aquariaus before their season even starts. 😳 I find that hilarious. 😁 My Dad is an Aquairuan so it's very interesting to listen to this...althogh, one desceiption I've heard about Aquairus is "Alien" and "Weird." I still find it interesting that I'm a Sun in Cancer and Moon in Cappy (and you are too). I figure that's why I resonate with you. Although, it's really interesting how the difference between my Cappy rising and your Taurus rising are very distinct and evident upon examination.

One of the things I think people also miss with the idea of Aquarius as the Humanitarian Revolutionary is that Saturn is not a particularly warm planet. As an air sign, not only is there the ability to see both sides as revolutionary in their own way, but Aquarius can also contemplate some abstract notions as exciting that would otherwise be horrifying. I think of the idea of eugenics, the idea of molding a society through breeding practices, and can absolutely see the madness of the Aquarian scientist appreciating this. (I'm an Aquarian myself, so no shade with this, just an observation.)

thank you for sharing! I still am uncovering layers of what it means to have an Aquarius sun...definitely do have the experience of citizenship among multiple communities/places, yet feeling estranged/unsure of belonging anywhere. of holding the tension of participating in opposing healing modalities...of having a real stubbornness about following recipes/another's authority and wanting the experience of inventiveness, even if it's a total flop.

really interesting video, I love the fact that you take a lot of understanding of these signs and what not from the natural flow of things instead of straight conjecture what you know is deeply rooted in what physically takes place, like the aquarius constellation existing in the point of ever growing light from the deepest darkness giving those born with its imprint a certain character trait; you dont always see that being talked about. Most of my placements are in aquarius and I can say that I have always had a bit of that striving for the light, its like whatever path was up and ahead from the current place was where my mind and heart took me even if i didnt know it like i do now. So it becomes clear now that this archetype perfectly encapsulates what ive felt, the past several years looking out at the world and my being beholding the state of things constantly and compulsivley trying to make sense of it all while simultaneously coming up with an answer for where we could all go. Its not because first aquarius is humanitarian, its because first we seek to bring forth what was in dark to the light, and that archetype includes everything including the ever marching evolution of human society. Although i will say my heart is most passionate for having society go in the best possible direction more than id be passionate on having the best schedule in the world so, id consider myself more humanitarian

Suffice to say a large focus in my life is transmuting darkness into light, or having an avid stance on progress. Where we need to move forward for a better world, etc. The stellium I have is in the fifth house, so it's largely centered around self expression as well. Everything in my fifth is trine Gemini moon, and Jupiter in Libra Asc. Over 50% of my chart is air, so it can be a lot. 😂

I like the term "iconoclast" as one expression of the Aquarian archetype. There seems to be some way in which they must be distinguished from the group, perhaps reflecting the other pole of the axis in Leo and its association with individuation.

hi! First time commenting on any channel, love yours Achuta! This was brilliant. I loved how you were a bit nervous as you were vulnerable in talking about hot topics. I thought that was very Aquarius; standing in neutral right on the line, a very clear Saturn game face, with detachment and care held equally. I do find it so interesting how my ideas of progress vary so different from others and how that is true in so many alternative communities. I can see how I put people on edge by living my truth of progress; non-vax, unschooling, astrologer. Thanks

This episode helped me to understand the sign of Aquarius in a way I could never grasp before. The significations for Aquarius never seemed to match those of its ruler, Saturn. Now, when I think of Aquarius, as a crib sheet of sorts ,I will think of Janus, the Roman god associated with Saturn who stands and the threshold of before and after, past and future, tradition and modernity along with all the tension, conflict, and contradiction that those opposites engender (another word of duality) Thank you , Adam. #grabbed: My Aquarian brother used to quip, "I like people....in theory".

Good stuff. Interestingly, your description of Aquarius still works with the 12 letter alphabet. Light emerging from darkness, future, progress, hope, aspiration. The 11th house is the light emerging from the darkness, not yet at the top, but on its way there. Just a few thoughts I wanted to share.

This is my sign and yes, hate people. That didn't come along until later in life, I'm 49 now. I spent a long time wishing I were more popular given that I am very philanthropic and kind! But then I realised I don't actually LIKE many of these people anyway. The last time I tried to grow a friendship, I found this person changed her opinions depending on who she was talking to! She basically agreed with what anyone said. I am very sure of my own identity so this type of thing I find totally bizarre.

But This has really helped me to understand Aquarius more and the striving for betterment, especially regarding my spirituality (Jupiter). {I had a similar childhood as you, with forced, strict, conservative religion. I rebelled of course and denounced God, but recently I am starting to find my way back to God 🙏} Thanks again! 😊

I have Jupiter in my 6th and I have a massive appetite for LEARNING. But I am also a socialist and very philanthropic, the 6th house can also be supporting the "little man", and advocating for the underdog. Could mean for you also that you make friends with people you work with. Could also mean you take on more work than you can reallistically do.
