Corpus Christi in Stockholm, Sweden

A short review of the traditional Corpus Christi procession from the Catholic Cathedral in Stockholm, Sweden, a dominatly protestant country. It is rarely known for its expressions of Catholic life. However, this is a manifestation of it and it creates questions of curiosity from the people around. Holding the monstrans is the Dean of the Cathedral, Rev. Fr. Grzegorz Janski. Trust in Church authority, singing praises to God, and processions are thorough Biblical. Just because there is no passage in scripture that says "Wear white on the Sunday several weeks after celebrating Easter" does not mean it's forbidden. There's no passage in scripture saying that you should wear a shirt when you go outside, but this is obviously not forbidden by scripture. A Christian's faith must align with and be informed by scripture and cannot contradict scripture, but to say we may only do that which is done in scripture is silly and unbiblical Protestant nonsense
