      Excuse me??
      Are you mad??
Foden was the WORST player in the England game on Sunday.
      Failed EVERY DRIBBLE ATTEMPT.
Most passes went to the opposition players
      Tackles were almost non existent.
That has NOTHING to do with his playing position at all, and EVERYTHING to do with him being a lazy, clueless muppet.
Trent player better in that game than Foden did, and as such deserves his place.
Gabby only has a go at Trent because he hates Liverpool and all its players.

When we play a decent team in the knockout phase we will come up against a decent coach and here lies the problem. Winless as head "coach" in the U21 Euros, relegated from the Nations League (where we actually had a bit of competition), relegated the only club side he's managed... There is no easy route this time and he's about to be found out for what he is - a rank amateur "coach", totally bereft of ideas.

    - Xavi Simons was played at left winger and he played at CAM in Rb leipzig and still he delivered the good performance.

The elephant in the room that not many have talked about is Bellingham's stamina. I've seen it for Madrid too. He was shot after 35/40 minutes and we were effectively a man down and he should have come off 20 minutes before he did.

@@Bcfcuklhpwalker I agree with some of that. Almost every team has pressed really well at this tournament and we're awful at it. Foden does it instinctively but he was on his own in that time. You have to do it together. It comes from the front and Kane is not good at it. But Bellingham can wave his arms around all he likes, he was dead on his feet after 40 minutes so I stand by that. That's why the game turned, you can't carry a player at the heart of your midfield. Rice was on his own. Did you see Kante for France?

Gabby totally correct. Serbia were playing well and as usual he didn't react. What more is we did not have runners going beyond the defenders other than Saka. We had to many players that come to the ball rather than make those runs. Serbia were passive in the first half but due to this the increased the width between their defenders and they pushed up their wingers in the second half. We needed players in more natural positions making those important runs off the shoulder of the defenders.

No point in putting trent on without a runner in behind, we have the best striker in the world and he is completely useless without a runner in behind. Foden simply doesn’t work within our system on the left as amazing of a player as he is, Bellingham on the left wouldn’t solve it. Foden, saka and Kane all love receiving progressive passes, we can’t just shoehorn players in because of talent we need a runner in behind

    • @sjzafrani
      @sjzafrani 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@stefanmuis9967 my point was, if Foden can't find a way to impact the game from the left, especially in the modern game where positions are very fluid, he's not the world class player we thought he was, ergo, it's not necessary to have him in the starting 11. Grealish would've done better from that position against serbia.
Regarding trent, play him at right back. Play walker at CB. Stones was useless and apparently isn't full fit. Trent is effective at right back because when he enters the midfield, its usually in position where hes free and uncontested because the midfield players are all accounted for. This gives him time and space to drop the perfect pass, which he does multiple times every match he plays in.
going back to bellingham, even though he is a better 10 than foden, he can also be very effective playing deeper. He's actually world class, meaning you can put him anywhere on the pitch and hes going to have an impact. foden just isn't, but he can be a very good 10. I'd play Jude alongside Rice with Foden in front to feed saka, kane and eze/gordon/palmer, and also make space for himself and do what he does.
If southgate is unwilling to do that and open the 10 for foden, then hes redundant and useless as a starter. Facts only. Better dropping him and playing gordon or even palmer.
Re trent, it's foolish not to play him. He was fine in midfield and delivered several balls that put our wingers in 1v1 situations. Saka and foden were useless in that regard.

He’s even performed for England in major tournaments as well.. I still think that’s a baffling decision.
Gordon is the ONLY natural left sided player we’ve got in the WHOLE SQUAD..

Call me old fashioned but what’s wrong with having two proper strikers up front like the old days so they can work together I would have toney and Watkins with foden behind Gordon on the left palmer on the right with rice and Bellingham in the middle and use Kane as a impact sub as my nan is quicker than him use the wide players to whip first time crosses in or even a cross would nice instead on this short tippy tappy passing on the floor which gets us nowhere then ends up all the way pack to the keeper.our players have no confidence to turn and beat a player and create quick passing football they stand on the ball and pass back.i have watched most of the games and most of the other nations play quick tempo football with the ball hit from one side to the other or down the wings crossing in to the boxes creating chances also hitting shots from outside of the box. we do not do that we want to walk the ball in to the net this style of football has been drummed into them for the last 8 years I think they don’t know how to play any different it’s like they have been brainwashed by Southgate I reckon Pickford has more touches than the rest of the keepers. if Kane is up front on his own then he needs balls whipped across the box not balls passed around the side of the area looking in for a way in to the box only for the ball to be sent all the way back to the keeper

Rather just play the players who play that position. We've been through this before trying to fit everyone in - never works.

He needs to step up or sit on the bench. We have defended him when other players have one bad game. They take heat. I can't remember one good game he's had in England team. There are great players on the bench. If they were on the other teams, they would be playing every match. If foden was playing for Barcelona in 2010 and Messi was playing the position foden play well in his national team, he would have to wait 14 years to get that position, and then 14 years come and we find out he isn't good. Saka and Jude can play anywhere. Watching him is like watching the golden generation. They played with no confidence; they wouldn't get into this English team. This generation play with confidence. That's why they got to a final and almost won. The coach wasn't brave to let them attack and get the second and third goal

He's right BUT we dont have a left sided player to balance Foden and Bellingham in the squad he should have taken Grealish. Gordon and Eze are cracking players but they play so high they'd be too much pressure on Rice. Grealish would drop in the pockets behind Foden.

Spain had iniesta xàvi silva ìn the same side pùt foden and Bellingham together i could imagine pep with them utwo he would be ripping....its why we dont win anything we drop our best if we are to stànd any chance he has to get foden and bellingham going

      - because he's a top quality player being wasted out on the left..... the other point is that when he plays for City the others are constantly moving looking for space.....the England players are static......
