I think Jon left his post not only because he fulfilled his vows (i.e. died, and so his watch has ended), but also because he was killed by his own men, and it doesn't make sense anymore to lead them. I also wouldn't want to serve anymore if I was killed by my fellow men.
I believe all the costal shots of Mareen were done in Malta, I've been there a couple of times on holiday, its a very beautiful island with a lot of history

You notice that unlike with Joffrey, Cersei wasn't made the Queen Regent when Tommen took the throne, which (except in outstanding circumstances like King Daeron I, who was such a badass that he was deemed good enough to become king in his own right at 14) isn't something that happens. So yeah, Tommen's 16, which the age of majority in Westeros.
Most of the Essos stuff was filmed in Spain. Meereen was filmed in a town called Peñíscola, Spain. It's on the coast between Barcelona and Valencia. Braavos was filmed in Girona, and if I remember right, Vaes Dothrak was filmed in the Tabernas Desert in the south of Spain. A few places in Westeros were filmed in Spain, too, like Highgarden and the Tower of Joy.
You guys talking about Iwan Rheon (Ramsey) makes me want to beg you to check out a really fascinating sort-of-superhero drama from the UK called Misfits. Iwan Rheon played SUCH a different character to Ramsey. It was quite the emotional whiplash to originally know him as the adorable, sweet Simon and then see him as this guy. (Also, the show is very good. A very different take on superheroes. A group of delinquents doing community service get hit with a freak storm that gives them powers closely connected to their personalities. Simon was extremely shy, so his power became invisibility.)

This season is the absolute best! Throw in y'alls funny banter and that makes it even better! I have a friend in England who has unknowingly, he's never watched the show, been to some of the filming locations in Croatia. It was fun looking at some of his pics, where some of the scenes were shot, that hadn't been edited to include some of the castles and septs!!

@@DavidvsFilm You"re absolutly right, i had 17 years with her, it"s a lot, My first horse died 44 years old, i have him since i was a little girl, Each fur baby, cat, dog, horse, parrot is a part of family and put an hole in our heart when they left I"m a vet, i need to be more cold but i can"t, each life matters . I kept her on drops, as long she had a happy life , but i have not the bliss of ognorance, blood test, x ray, ultrasounds, i knew but it"s not easier this way. The Umbers have had Rickon and Osha the whole time. They talked about it when they parted ways with Bran, Jojen, Meera, and Hodor. Bran told him to go to the Umber's castle and they would safe. They didn't know the current Lord was bitter about Robb Stark's actions, and the men dying the Red Wedding.😊
Yes!!!!!!! So true. I love it. If I'm being honest though, they could have reunited a previously-unseen Stark family blacksmith and cook from the kitchen, and as long as that Winterfell theme plays in the background while they spin in slow motion, I'll get emotional. lol

We did a tour in Dubrovnik, Croatia and saw a bunch of the filming locations there for King's Landing and Qaarth. We were able to take a souvenir from the set where Joffrey died at his wedding. It was super cool! The old city is one of the coolest places I've ever been.
