How to Germinate Moringa or Malunggay Seeds Successfully l

- There are many ways to germinate Moringa or Malunggay seeds. Some soak the seeds for a few days, some germinate in a ziplock bag, some plant them in pots, some sow them directly into the ground. I'll share with you the methods that I used and what worked best for me!

I think the reason why the first seeds germinate it is because the length of time you gave them the whole seven days
The second set of seats you soaked in water you gave them a short amount of time to germinate. That’s why they began to germinate but not completely germinated so they need more time at least the same amount of time that you gave the first batch.
I plant in zones 4, 5 and 6
The plastic bag method is a good if Limited space is a concern and no plastic containers are obtainable.
2.5 gallon plastic bag can protect plants as they grow.

Amazing germination! You received so many seeds. Do you know how viable the seeds are after one year? I would like to order but maybe not plant so many at a time (I don’t have much space 😊)
Hi Leesa and sorry for the delayed response. I still had the same pouch that I bought 2 years ago. The seeds I grew in 2020 and 2021 both germinated well for me. I did the same process but with only 60% success. The new seedlings are leggy and growing weird so I'll get new seeds soon

Hello! When I was starting my seeds, the room temperature was about 70F. I am growing Moringa again this year and I can't wait to enjoy them!
I appreciate this video. I had some soaked ones that have sat in a ziplock by the windowsill and have been there about 5 days and nothing yet. But now I'm trying the non soaked in a Tupperware container in the closet on wet paper towel. I'll see what happens.

Great video, but the lady who sold me the seeds in a Mexican market said nothing about germinating for growing. She led me to believe I could eat them raw. I'd prefer not to plant them. Is there something else I can do with them, preferably an easier method? I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks!
