One other thing worth mentioning is that Perandus Pact is the best use case for the corpse that corrupts the item. You can get a 35 in 36 chance to get the specific perandus pact of your choice within 20-30 corpses. Since it is 1 in 4 to get an implicit at base, using 8 of those corpses will already give you a 6 in 9 chance of an implicit, and you can obviously use even more. Using 20 of those corpses gives you an 11 in 14 chance of a corrupted implicit. What's more, the implicit also gets affected by other corpses you use, so you can downweight the implicits you don't want. This can be really powerful.
The chaos one in particular can be combined with a Divine Flesh Setup on a TON of builds to make an insanely low cost defensive layer. Its particularly potent combined with the left side of the tree as you showed as you can use the basic jewel socket, as you can net like 38% chaos res AND take the armor/ES mastery for phys to chaos damage conversion. Thats like having one perfectly rolled items chaos modifier on a jewel socket... assuming jewel sockets are lower priority on your build its VERY good. Combined with a Divine flesh that grants increased Chaos Res/Chaos Res cap and suddenly your chaos capped with like 1 item and have 82% max Chaos res.... and use it to convert everything. Its super good.
Its a really good jewel to solve chaos resistance, but for other stats, I think it performs a bit worse than timeless or breach jewels since they will be competing in the same slot, Lets take a look at the typical RF chieftain spot here 2:35, we can use `The Red Nightmare` with fire res tattoos instead for 30% attack block. Or example 4:45, `might of the meek` + `unnatural` or `timeless hubris` + `impossible escape` could breakeven with these stats.
That spot is usually used by regular adorned jewels for RF. The main use of Perandus Pact for RF is to use it in conjunction with unnatural instinct in the Scion section, in order to get a hefty AoE bonus, as well as a good chunk of % fire damage. Exactly the setup that is shown for mana/lightning damage in the video.
I think a large reason people done necessarily know and use this jewel at the moment is because POB isn't fully supporting it yet as you have to manually count the nodes and input that into configurations. Great video!
It's worth noting that these are fairly easy to craft with a useful corrupted modifier, filling the remaining graveyard with the corrupted/implicit corpses. Depending on the prices, adding additional crafts is usually also very woth it. Managed to get myself a cb one and still profit from selling the additional crafts.
@kamilrogoz using mana not only gives you dmg, It gives you a lot of tankiness too. Overall I did try both, I went with armour in the end, because I have more than enough dmg, but was missing survivability for t15 onward
Great video! I think the jewel is strong. But you indirectly mentioned why it isn't used more in the end of the video. Count how many great unique jewels you mentioned that are already must have, on top of the one you didn't mention like Watcher's eye and Stormshroud. Jewels sockets have a huge opportunity cost right now. What i'm gonna cut for this one? Impossible scape that is giving me access to those aura nodes that i couldn't get in any other way? The watcher's eyes that might be critical to make the build work with conversion? Or is just giving me a lot of sustain with es on hit? Im gonna cut the ailment immunity from stormshroud? If i'm playing minions i'm gonna cut the blind from the jewel i use to get accuracy cap and gives me other stats on top? Or i'm gonna cut the thread of hope that is saving me like 6+ points for a jewel that demands i use more points? Or i'm cutting a historic jewel? That might be build enabling or just giving me a crap ton of damage or aura effect. The jewel is great and strong, it's just that the alternatives are also very strong, and quite a few do more than just raw stats.
I managed to jump on this early, with my Splitting Steel Trickster. I started with the (cheaper) lightning damage that got me like 130% increased lightning damage or so, then switched to the more expensive energy shield one, which is getting me like 70% increased ES. Awesome jewel, simple to build around and use.
I've been using the increased fire damage perandus pact for a while now and it's been a huge increase in my damage for very little investment. Today, I actually replaced it with a corrupted one with a 2% Increased Mana Reservation of Skills implicit which was the last bit I needed to slot an extra 50% aura.
Great summary! Personally I think that while it’s undoubtedly bis for some builds, jewel sockets are SOO competitive with watcher’s eye, impossible escape, thread of hope, FF/FF, etc. allowing access to things you can’t get elsewhere. And of course the classic %life + multi rare jewels which people often underrate these days in favor of all the shiny unique jewels, but they’re still bis for most crit/dot builds. While it’s fun to see a big single stat increase from one jewel, I suspect it’s not the most point-efficient option in many cases, especially if you have to alter pathing to capitalize on it.
I love necropolis crafting. Just made a 1% inc attack speed per 25 dex fractured, with elder influence. So I craftes it with essence of sorrow for 58 flat dex and 11% inc dex, and I just bought a dex stacker bow for 140c. xD this league man! It is crazy. I am going to freeze full screens with my mini gun that some people may call a bow. I am sure that it is a mini gun. Uou can also fracture influence mods. Grasping mail always provide a special mod. Always. Only 1 mod possible, 100% chance to be a grasping mail mod. If you miss the influence and hit a shaper infleunce, don't be sad, just use an awakener orb and force redeemer on the fractured base item. The important thing is hitting the inc attack speed per 25 dex with the fracturing orb. Do I say that this is a good profit craft? Hell no! I am saying that I think it is fun, and that I might go for flat crit + increased dex later on. I do wanna know what happenes when you try to elevate with a fractured mod. Does the mod improve? Will the fractuted mod survive if it would remove the mod? So many questions xD
You and sirgog are my favorite PoE youtubers. You get straight to the facts but still delve into technical details that go beyond builds or guides. Thanks for your video!
I stacked up on a ton of em, but tbh... the most important one (if I am not going supreme ego) is the +2 to all atts... that pretty much sits rent-free in all my builds. (I'm on my 9th character already, and like all the others, it's almost 90+)
Currently still on laying out my graveyard for it. I plan to make it as deterministic as possible with tons of increases and scarcer mods. Planning to get a chaos dmg one.
There is a lot of value per points these days and an endless supply of unique jewels worth it, along with now adorned which requires you to not use unique jewels to get full benefit. It isn't easy to fit everything. I paid a ton for my lethal pride and it was early. 4d for a 20% phys taken as fire jewel with 5% double damage and around 75 strg total in radius, some regen, some warcry buff effect to scale enduring cry everyone use now and other stuff I forget. This isn't comparable for a jewel socket with lots of passives allocated in radius. It does use a massive thread of hope to get full benefit. Basically, in the ranger area, many people do the massive thread there. Then I have my watcher's eye and I get huge value out of a UI in the shadow area. I was thinking of going it and once I seen fubgun did that, figured it made sense. So from there, what do I do? Cluster with 2 sockets. As much crit multi as possible there. People would still mention 2-3-4 more valuable unique jewels I could put in. Everyone talking as if infinite jewel sockets. The jewel socket you mention can be used to scale block too via tattoos and red nightmare. Very strong use of that jewel socket. You just turn all the strg nodes into fire res, which then gets you bonus to: regen, block and possibly armor. But sure, many options. Is fire damage better than 14% dot multi with life and damage prefix. Usually not, it's hard to scale RF damage% outside of tricky ways like spiritual aid and minion damage rolls on rings, gloves, etc. The jewel is nice, but we have so many good options. Rares remain extremely strong damage options, but of course much more expensive for perfect. A 14% dot multi jewel with 7% life is always massively expensive unless you roll it or you snipe it.
This is true, the competition for jewel sockets is going up every release and you have to make decisions as to which unique jewels you'll use and which you'll be leaving out
I first tired unnatural instinct plus mana perandus pact for my mana stacker . But then I just switched to an armor preandus in place of energized armor, so instead of transforming es to armor, i get both, which ened giving me similar defense for the mana build for less points . From palestron
this isnt exactly new information, ppl have been abusing it quite a bit already. there are multiple videos out already also showcasing the corrupt gravecrafting tech on it.
People have easily been talking about this jewel for the last 4 or so days. The issue is that there's a lot of other competitive jewels like adorned and timeless, so it's not an automatic plug in and go.
Without Pob and knowing certain skills from memory how would one compare for example this jewel and some good rolled rare jewel? lets say for example you are playing hit based Fire caster(with some criting , not going Elemental overload), so a rare jewel giving for example 2 crit mods for caster/fire caster and 2 increased to damage(or maybe one dmg, one cast speed mod) compared to this jewel giving 100-150% increased fire damage
tried it for mana, but didnt have as much impact as i had hoped in the center wheel with unnatural instinct :/ maybe the mana mod is just too weak in comparison to the others. will try the chaos res and increased cold/lightning damage ones.

Earned my sub and I look forward to your work! #2 - I had previously decided it was not worth pursuing over other options for my build, but this sold me on the fact that I did not give it a fair shake and came up with an idea for this while watching your examples for other builds..
yea it´s a nice jewel, I think the current problem with poe is that there was way too many good jewels and the best builds usually have a few 1 passive voices to maximize the amount of jewels they can get. I think people will come around to this one sooner or later.
HTF do you craft this thing? Not a single one of the graveyard planners will let you select the 'haunted by' coffins as if they don't even exist. So there's no where to have a clue WTF to put the coffins to set up the graveyard to begin with.
The first thing I thought of when I saw this jewel was the bottom right of the tree where Deadeyes typically place their timeless jewel or thread of hope. Yeah, the chaos one got me chaos res capped with 120% chaos res. A single passive point for 120% chaos res is wild
Where at on the tree
Sounds like a lot of wasted points on the tree 😊
You can combo it with Unnatural Instinct, that’s probably it.
Any kind of elementalist build could get this easily
This isnt just a single point, its a lot of pathing and 2 jewel sockets*

This makes me sad lol, it’s why i struggled switching to using it since i like my number go brrrrr

Unnatural + might of the meek + perandus pact + impossible escape can also be used together in some nieche builds
I'm using one on ball lightning archmage hiero. Top witch jewel slot - 192% increased lightning damage, which transist to 21% more damage for me.
Crazy value on one jewel
Try mana instead, it's shocking

Yup, using a combo phys pact + instinct + meek in the scion area for a juicy +315% phys damage in my nimis KB.
I am using mana PP on witch top slot, it gives the same amount of mana as Health Mind, but without penalty to life. Great new tech for archmage.
