Love this tour. I jusst cruised on NCL Escape in September/October, and this video showed me how much I missed! I was busy the whole time, but I still didn't see everything. The video brought back wonderful memories.
I REALLY love this ship. The Escape and the Gem are my favorites so far. Off the Encore and now on the Pearl for 3 weeks and change. I'm excited for the Bliss in Jan- Feb to compare with. The Escape was a big ship for me, but I really loved how it still managed to feel cosy. 😊
Oh, I totally agree with you Barbara. I was amazed how cosy and homely this ship felt for what is a huge cruise ship. I’m glad you agree - thanks a lot for watching! 😊
Nice film, Fraser. The only massive NCL ship we’ve been on is the Epic, so this was interesting. It’s good to see you’re a fan of La Cuccina too, the new Onda Italian in some ships is hideous. Likewise, O’Sheehan’s Is so much better than its replacement on many ships, The Local, with its O’Sheehan’s food but much more limited hours of food service. The dining venues look pretty smart, I do wonder why they bother having different names for pretty identical eateries - just bill one as Fore and the other as Aft or something. Having to walk through the art gallery constantly sounds wonderful, never miss an All Dogs Go To Heaven print! An open deck smoking casino, hurrah! The Hydropool area looks a treat, but I never do seek out the spa; I cannot bear being massaged. I had to have a head massage as part of a recent press trip, hated it! That rope park or whatever is an eyesore, blocking out the sky… who really needs this kind of thing on a cruise? That massive chandelier is blooming ugly! The Pour House! What a terrible name, it just makes me think ‘poorhouse’, which is how you actually (understandably) pronounced it. Now, here’s a question - you said Guppies was for nippers from six months and up, but it was unsupervised… how does that work?
Hey! Some interesting observations here, many of which made me smile, so thank you for this! You know, I’m person, that chandelier is really impressive, and the high ropes course doesn’t block out the sun on the deck. The deck is so huge on this ship, so you’ve got LOADS of open spaces away from this course - don’t worry! Guppie’s is unsupervised, meaning that it’s just an open play space. In other words, parents need to be with their child in here at all times - they can’t drop them off and leave them 😊 Thanks so much for watching and for continuing to support my channel!
I have been watching your video, which I always enjoy, but don't hope cruise lines go to digital ordering. It is fine for burger & fries, etc, but for a real meal, I often have questions to ask. Computers aren't programmed for that, so I like the live contact.
Hello! I do agree on both sides - it’s great to see NCL trying stuff like this, but I agree it shouldn’t replace human contact - it can often compliment really nicely though 😊
