Great job on your Mausoleum..Love everything you do for your haunt. I feel a bit jealous because I can not make one..I have no where to store it and my husband will not help me take on a project that big. Glad to see your wife enjoys helping you. Looking forward to seeing your 2015 haunt!
Tina Strangway Thanks Tina! Storage is my worst problem with my props too. As for building it, you could totally do it, it's not that complicated. My wife TOLERATES it, I'm not sure to say if she enjoys it! lol

I LOVE this mausoleum! I also like that it has a functional door. The roof fits perfectly. How tall are the pillars, and are they made of two sonotubes attached end to end?
Thanks for the comments! The pillars are 6 feet tall, and it was a 12 foot sonotube and I just cut in half and glued some styrofoam blocks on the top and bottom.
barbjoz63 Maybe we call it something different here, lol. It's used for pouring concrete footing for posts (i.e. for fence posts) so I bought mine at the local building supply store, so Home Depot should have it there too. Hope that helps!
The doors I made with scrap 1 X 6 fir (any wood I had around the yard). It's a simple design, I laid down 3 pieces of wood side by side for the door (approx 5 feet), and nailed on 2 smaller pieces of wood across to attach them (approx 2 feet). I left some spaces between the boards to make it look rundown and it provides a "peephole" so I could see people coming. After that, just attach some hinges so the doors can open and close.
