At a certain point you ask why we watch this series. Me at least i just, enjoy the chill vibes. Others get mad at your mistakes but its like man, you have to learn on your own what decisions to make, part of y'know, playing games. I like the way you choose to play, and the journey that you're on. Not everyone has gotta unlock the stuff super fast. That's all what i think at least. Keep up the cool content, and thanks for this series in particular.
Bro I agree completely. It's so refreshing to see a non meta follower. I dislike when people turn every game into chess instead of just playing the damn game. Not knocking chess. I fucking love chess
Bit late to reply but yeah. I like min maxing and doing everything to a theoretical perfect at times don’t get me wrong, but I also just like it when you pick something dumb and ball. It’s the beauty of these games. This game in specific is pretty well built for it. A lot of even just rare weapons can be used as integral parts of a build.
I think the crushing hit wasnt doing max damage in that one room because the thrusting damage was not very effective against them, so the damage was reduced by like 25%
Just sitting down and watching now, good luck! Just finished, man the was a hell of a fun run Tyler. When you chose the soul scarf I was just waiting for you to figure out you can still get the soul heart while full health. Had me holding my sides laughing, looking forward to the next one!
Watching you play feels like watching a family member play. You make a lot of mistakes but maintain your positivity and don't take the game too seriously while still giving it your best. You also seem to genuinely have fun with the game.
the only nitpick I have with how you handled the build is at 57:00 when you were looking at what trait to replace with extra crit, you could've replaced the trait which made you have 0% crit chance. And yes that'd take away crushing hits at long ranges, but you are already building a close range setup with your either helmet or armor (I forgot which) that gave you more close range damage. So you could've had both increased damage, 100% crushing hits, and like an 85% crit rate with close range attacks (doesn't really matter tho, love your stuff man keep it up :D)
The even more broken trick is to keep the Soul Scarf in your bag until the first room of each floor. Swap it in, attune, spend souls on Full Heals at the campfire, then re-attune whatever item you had before once you're satisfied with the number of soul hears you have.
I'll tell ya I enjoy watching you play this because I'm experiencing this game as you play. It seems you're sorta learning at the same time which makes it more tangible. Sometimes that's better to watch than someone who has mastered the game
I'd like to say that this Soul Scarf + Health Insurance was the strategy I used to beat the Primal Death for the first time right after I watched this video, so thanks for that. That said, the run had also Mjolnir, Storm Crow and Conduit Greaves among other things, so the boss fights after floor 9 didn't last but mere moments and my 77 soul hearts were there mainly to block the left side of my screen. Definitely would recommend this cheese to anyone interested in unlocking the ascension classes without the requirement of "getting good"
I keep watching because it makes my own decisions feel better 😂 Glad you finally got a good run though. Game gets tough once you start using the cinder, you need to use at least 3 to get to the next level of cinder. Also, right click to swap weapons is easier than scrolling.
Man this series is hilarious keep it up! I 100% the game and still don't understand exactly why runs feel busted or weak sometimes. Also waiting when you find your cape in the game in floor 1. It's uncommon shouldn't be so hard but it's most valuable early that's all I'm gonna say. Dev buff daggers please they always feel weaker than anything else.
I’ve not seen a TH-camr actually melt end game bosses yet which I find weird, I’ve killed both guardian phases in less than 10 seconds without using soul scarf. Aura builds are super strong and a high strength two handed build can get super silly as well.
A couple of days ago I had a very similar run: played with the Sorcerer, and got the Glass Cannon trait (100% crushing damage chance but halves your equip load), soon enough I found an epic lightning spell with decent scaling and had upwards to 10k damage per attack by floor 8. It was also right at my 5th Death win so I rode that broken build until the floor 11 boss!
@@scipion9936 The guy was mistaken in it being a trait. It's an offhand that has the +20% per soulheart, uncapped. It makes this bug go from 'hilariously OP plx nerf', to 'I'm nearly oneshotting bosses'.
I haven't finished the vid, but the scarf is really broken because you can use flasks at full health, so for 10 souls every floor you just can stack 2 soul hearts edit : well you found it yourself But to answer your question : we watch you because your struggles to win are very entertaining, like for when you played nuclear throne beggining 2023
Found an interesting bug? with traits. Dynamo and Combustion trait with any burn dmg. Once the enemy gets burned they just instantly shoot of mini explosions.
Just in case no one has mentioned it yet the dev is a big path of exile fan and borrowed some terminology that isn't well explained in this game. The words "more" and "increased" have special meaning: - More = a multiplicative increase (x10) - Increased = an additive increase (+10)
Tyler the reasons we watch you playing Tiny Rogue are 1. Its funny to watch someone who cant read and will not give enough attention to the game (becouse of that you take a crit multiplayer (damage) increase while having and perk that give you a crit chance max of 0%) 2. Its helpfull for our own game´s, watching you do stuff wrong often helps more to learn stuff, than watching someone steamrolle to the game (i learnd today that the shift Key exist for equipment comparing ;d) 3. its helps reminding to pay attation while playing the game, so that i dont do stuff like you (for example buying an obsidian dice to reroll a perk and never use him and stay whit an unnassesery perk) for my taste i try to avoid the scarf with my perk combo i easely have like 100g plus and than taking the perk that nurses only cost 5 gold woul make the game ....... yeah
So lucky hits and crits are separate things. Think of lucky hits as having advantage (curses being disadvantage) while crits are well… crits. And deadly strikes are attacks on vulnerability. Many things proc off lucky strikes even without the crit chances
Glad you found it! However I dont think the dev should patch it. People all play differently for thoes who are introduced to roguelites its a nice easy mode item. worse case they should add it to the item pool and create a different starting item. Also @olexa the reason I watch you play is because its soothing. I dont like a lot of voice over content your pacing is nice though

@@OlexaYT hahah I still think the guppy transformation is still in the game though? Oh and brimstone, they are pretty game breaking but fun. Its the same with this item. It's just people found a fun way to use it!
There are items in tiny rogues that are fun really good items. Guppy and brimstone aren’t instawin. The scarf is literally an exploit that was not meant to be as good as it is. If it takes time out of your run to exploit it, that’s a flaw in the game design. And the tiny rogues dev is very diligent about making sure the design of the game is good

with the guarenteed tavern on floor 3 and the nurse costs 5 gold and the bandit that gets gold every battle i had over 50 hearts on floor 3!!! soooooo broken lol

I don’t mind this so much. I feel like games like this are meant to be broken. I don’t like using the soul scarf either but there is some value in it (the trait that gives you 10 power per soul heart). If they’re going to patch it I really hope they don’t make it completely useless. Like maybe only refilling your vials at the nurse once per floor or something.

Congrats on making more progress. That weapon you had at the end was really good it shot so many arrows
I believe some enemies are resistant to "Thrusting" type damage. Indicated by the down arrow next to the damage numbers.

the swagger trait still works with resolute technique which allows you to get a crushing hit crit on the tally of 5 primary attacks

I definitely agree it's more important to get bombs and keys before stats
2x bows that both shoot 3 plus bone spur, and the shots home seems good
To make the soul scarf even more broken, theres a talent that gives +20% damage per soul heart with no cap
+10%, maxes at 100%
What's even nicer, is it gives power so if you happen to have a ton of auras, you just end up passively shredding everything on screen
