One would guess that apocalypse learns from being betrayed by his horsemen who keep on breaking free of his brainwashing. But - nope, it keeps on happening again and again.
That's how it is with Galactus too, Galactus keeps creating heralds even though they will eventually leave or betray him. Apocalyspe and Galactus could form a support group. "Hi my name is Apocalyspe and I keep getting betrayed by my horsemen".
That is what I call shitty writings, thus why I stop collecting comics since the 1990s.
Apocalypse was not the first to try and recruit Wolverine as a Horseman, and regraft adamantium to his skeleton. Stryfe, Cable's evil twin, had tried to form his own Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and "recruited" Wolverine to be his version of Death. Part of that effort was to remake Wolverine's adamantium skeleton; but during the bonding process, Wolverine rejected the adamantium, sending it flying everywhere, as indestructible shrapnel.
it was Tyler Dayspring Cable's son that got kidnapped and raised by Stryfe who tried that in wolverine vol 2 issue 100

I'm stuck between Archangel, Gambit, or The Sentry.

Facts. Death Sentry was a scary mf. Casually controls Mjolnir without touching it, and ripping his own head off to simply prove a point.

It’s good that they’ve gradually drop-fed more within canon:
- that he had ties to sinister
- then that he gathered the marauders for him
- then the hints that he had an ulterior motive for joining (that he was going to be the traitor/sole survivor/the witness)
- that he had a specific debt with sinister
- that his powers were becoming too great so he had sinister neuter them with Brain Surgery
- that at full power he could charge any matter, time travel, etc
- that his parentage is significant, as was his abandonment as a baby
After almost 30 years, though, it’s time to give definitive answers to the dangling plots - that’s longer than the pre “bone claws” wolverine, Cap’s Popcicle years, jean’s “deaths” combined...hell its almost as long as the mystery of Wolverine’s past!

@@garibaldilebeauHe's also likely a Summers brother. His creator intended for that, but hadn't gotten to it yet before Marvel moved him from X-Men to elsewhere. He made a comic years later in an alternate universe that does reveal something similar. To this day, we still don't know Remy's parents in the 616, so it's very possible.
It would seem that you forgot a few. For example, Autumn Rolfson, a.k.a. Famine, or Abraham Kieros, a.k.a. War, or Plague of the Morlocks who became Pestilence, these being the first Horsemen seen other than Archangel as Death. There are of course others absent from the list but those are the most glaring omission.

Villains in so far that Apocalypse wants to either eradicate or rule all of earth as a dictator. Reasoning that he, as the most powerful mutant, deserves to stand at the pinnacle of evolution and therefor the creatures of earth... Yeah, not villainous at all. :/
wonder how strange revived him since in damnation he revived the city of las vegas and those in it, so did his corpse wind up there? also is funny cuz the void part of the sentry's personalities, could merk any of the horsemen or apocolypse or all at the same time, given the power we have seen both in and out of the main continuity of earth 616, so him becoming a horseman via being ressurected by something is weird since his powers would have ressurected him anyway

I think he fixed himself off panel after the Apocalypse Twins were done. The Death Seed didn't amp his power, just altered his mentality.

Sunfire didn't lose his powers on M-Day. He was injured by Lady Deathstrike and had his legs cut off. He wanted to die, and Rogue was there, so her friend (I think her name was Blackout or Wipeout, something like that) goaded Rogue into touching Sunfire to absorb his powers to help get them out of some situation they were in. However, the friend held Rogue against Sunfire to make the transfer permanent. She used his powers to get them out of whatever the situation was, and when they went back for him, he was gone. Next time we saw him was when Apocalypse had taken him, given him new legs, and was trying to turn him into a Horseman.

They missed 7 Horsemen? I guess the logic was that those 7 were introduced in the narrative as already being horsemen and weren't pre-established characters. Still ...

@@paradoxrcl1977 the "First Horsemen" from Uncanny X-force. Roman Gladiator, Geisha, Civil War soldier, and Arabian prince. They were presented as the "in case of emergency, break glass" option.
The morlock was plague
They also had autumn rolfson who was famine at the time plague (who was the female morlock) was pestilence, and the geishas name is ichisumi, or the beetle lady, pestilence from X force.

You can't say that isn't lame even if you are a fan.

Wolverine's x-gene power is claws and the ability to heal from wounds. And the original version of that second one wasn't even that strong originally.
Its almost like scope and framing mean a lot when it comes to powers. Cyke shoots beams of energy out of his eyes. Not that impressive until he stops holding back and destroys an entire block. Beast has inhuman agility, Rogue absorbs energy and memories, what I'm getting at is that what someones's power *is* is a lot less important than how they use it.

It's probably a good thing the Sentry didn't stay a Horseman for long because he's ridiculously overpowered WITHOUT the powers of a Horseman...which probably perfectly explains why his role didn't last long lol
The Death Seed didn't amp his power, just altered his mentality. He can do everything the Death Seed and Apocalypse can and more since he's a self resurrecting, telepathic reality warper.

That was Thor, but you're right in that he didn't really kill Sentry. After Bob forced Thor to kill him in Siege and Thor dropped his body off in the Sun, Bob just sat there healing and disintegrating over and over as he tried to stay dead.
