Many may never agree with me but true lovers of reggae music knows it. Joseph Hill and his group culture did more than any other reggae musician have ever done. Did more than the even much celebrated Bob Marley. To me Joseph Hill is the King of reggae. He deserves more acclimation's for his works, good spiritual music, the gospel of peace and standing true to reggae music to his death. JAH BLEZ culture may his soul and music last forever
This outstanding vid is PRICELESS and TIMELESS !!!! Respect and thnx for the uploader. What an irie wellcome on the air-port. Joseph Hill bless your soul......never forgotten. Rest in Perfect Peace up there in Zionland.
It was a great blessing working with Joseph on this culture tour in 1996 (Bassie) Englishman (aka) shangoman. (R.I.P.) Ras joseph "Culture " Hill, Blessed love.!!!
this man is actually very intelligent, and he attaches his vision to his lyrics. it's sad that it was after his death that I actually started listening to more of his music. even though I've been aware of them from late 70s through the eighties. but I kind of bypass them a bit because I got tired of hearing too much Rasta lyrics and I was a romantic who wanted to hear love songs. but I've listened to more and I'm very impressed with his creativity.
he was really intelligent person, can talk on any issue with every man any age, so humble, so cool, so smart GIVE THANKS enjoy all positive vibes muzic bro 1ove
XTRODISUPERUFF (!) I'm ecstatic to see this wonderful & rare tour footage, and it's obvious to see WHY it won the "Reggae Documentary Award! Massive love & respect for uploading a true GEM of the GIANT, Mr Joseph Hill. Bless..
Jah Bless you Mister Vibes. Father Joe will always be in the hearts of us Ghanaians. May many follow your example and make more videos for the world to learn more about the "father of peace music" aka "keeper of Zion's gate".
Give thanks Rasta,It was a privilege to make this film, and to spend time with Father Joe that inspire me to continue to believe in peace, believe in people and the love for the music ... 1ove.
mistervibes King, i would like to know how the Ghanaian Royal Drummers came to welcome Father Joe at the airport in Israel. I know he is honored as one of the chiefs of the Aburi people in Ghana and is regarded as a royal. so I wasn't surprised but it was awesome still.
uhurubrooklyn Nana is a friend and he was in tour in israel and ask us to join and to make the welcoming ceremony for his Idol.it was AMAZING vibes for every body ...
Greetings Uhuru ,Susuma was formed in Israel by Prince Nana Dadzie from Ghana . They used to perform a lot around the country for some years . When they heard that Culture is coming to perform , spontaneously they arrange to meet us at the airport and with no official permits (there was no time to get ones) they arrived with their gear and waited till the band came out ...It was a scene to be remembered forever as Mister Vibes was there to film it .
I AND I FULLY ENDORSE YOUR EFFORTS. HE WAS A MASTER TEACHER AND MESSENGER OF THE TRENCH TOWN REGGAE AS I HAD CREATED IT TO BE. MUCH LOVE TO HIM EVEN IN DEATH AND TO ALL HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS WORLD WIDE
This really captures the Man essence,I saw him live but I did'nt think he was so sunny...Like a sunshine!! H.L.F on De Oda Side,I Know U will Hear,Dear Joseph! Jah Bless.
Had the previlege to see Culture perform twice in Dublin...unfortunately the second time was without the great Joseph Hills body there....4days before he passed to the land of milk and honey...was a humbling exprience...his son and crew did themselves and Joe proud...Jah bless and keep
@Reggae Gold SOUNDZ , i agree the whole band was not well credited in JA like the majority of reggae bands and artists(see my Sugar Minott interview for him talking about this) yet we all know Culture are a world class reggae band, this film finally got to honor him in 2013 in Kingston for all Jamaica to see, thanks to the film maker from Israel for this and The Reggae Film Festival where it won Best Reggae Documentary Award.
@5:00 this brotha took an old oil can and tied it to his waist using a piece of old rope to make an instrument. The lesson Joe Hill is teaching us is, "Did you make art today? and if no, then why not?!!!"
