What is clear is that Brown has a grasp of the factors which contribute to the rise in child poverty, and unless I missed something, he didn’t say this is caused by the Tories. Every man and his dog knows however it fits in with Tory ideology.

I'm a pensioner with a small works pension I am now paying £124 tax each month, worked from leaving school to retirement have never voted Tory in my life.

So, by getting rid of one of these groups of shysters, we are left with the other and they both mean us serious harm. By not voting, I believe, you take away their legitimacy. Yes, they will do their best to ignore that as they always do, but if say the process was destroyed by people saying, “enough” and not voting, believe you me, that presents them with an immediate serious problem.

What do you think causes child poverty? Living above your means. Getting in to debt. Have more than one. Without thinking how I'm going to support them.
You know what also causes child poverty? Changes in circumstances. Perhaps a parent died, a marriage broke down, a kamikaze budget caused mortgage payments to rise, etc etc. You can victim blame all you like but that wont help the people in these circumstances any more than cancelling netflix will.
(also, many pregnancies are unplanned. Should people be penalised for "aspiring" to raise accidental child number 3, or should we be enforcing abortions on the poor. Sounds a bit eugenicsy to me)

Rishi Sunak's expertise is in making rich people richer, and that is why he is the PM of Britain. He is not there for the average citizen. If he was, than the leadership of Britain would reflect the one in China where it serves the people. The leadership of Britain is there for the elite and it does a good job of it as the rich are doing well. In China it is there for the people so it does a good job in that capacity. It is simply a matter of purpose.
