I don't like to comment on videos, but I'd like to give some input on this topic. (Just a disclaimer, this is how I was brought up as a dancer. What I've been taught could be different for other dancers, and especially idols.) As a dancer, we're taught not to touch our costumes on stage (pulling it down, pulling it up, just fussing with it in general) as it's unprofessional. For me personally, it adds a whole new layer of frustration to see videos like these. Not because they're being unprofessional, but because the stylists seem very inconsiderate of the girls. I'm sure they're nice people, but they seem more concerned with sex appeal or having the coolest outfit and not concerned with how the girls will be able to move in it. I think an example of good styling is ITZY. Their outfits are cool and trendy, but the stylists don't compromise their comfort for the aesthetics of it. Also, I've personally been in the position of having my costume be too revealing for my level of comfort or not fit right so I'm messing with it on stage even after being yelled at not to lol. It's 10x easier to perform when I don't have to worry about my shorts being too short or my top being too lose. I really hope to see some change with how female idols are dressed in the way that their comfort is more prioritized. So sorry for rambling! Just wanted to make sure I was clear in my thoughts.

I don't think I saw them here, but Sistar was forced by their company to wear a lot of "sexy" outfits and if you search them up, they're horrible (mainly cause some of them weren't dresses but slight upgrades from lingerie)

I don't like to comment on videos, but I'd like to give some input on this topic.
(Just a disclaimer, this is how I was brought up as a dancer. What I've been taught could be different for other dancers, and especially idols.)
As a dancer, we're taught not to touch our costumes on stage (pulling it down, pulling it up, just fussing with it in general) as it's unprofessional. For me personally, it adds a whole new layer of frustration to see videos like these. Not because they're being unprofessional, but because the stylists seem very inconsiderate of the girls. I'm sure they're nice people, but they seem more concerned with sex appeal or having the coolest outfit and not concerned with how the girls will be able to move in it. I think an example of good styling is ITZY. Their outfits are cool and trendy, but the stylists don't compromise their comfort for the aesthetics of it. Also, I've personally been in the position of having my costume be too revealing for my level of comfort or not fit right so I'm messing with it on stage even after being yelled at not to lol. It's 10x easier to perform when I don't have to worry about my shorts being too short or my top being too lose. I really hope to see some change with how female idols are dressed in the way that their comfort is more prioritized.
So sorry for rambling! Just wanted to make sure I was clear in my thoughts.
