That's why there was a backlash about the unhealthy comments and practices the show encouraged and how they had the platform to push for change but didn't use it.

@Phoenix Girl Tyra was mostly a swimsuit, lingerie and makeup model. She had a few years of fashion modeling as a teenager but after that she was too curvy to be sample sized but not big enough to be plus sized. Doesn't matter because Sports Illustrated and Victoria Secret pay the big bucks though.

I said the thing. They did it for ratings. Probably hoping there would be some big fight between here and the girls. They weren't going to pick her to actually move in to the ANTM house.
They probably did it to give her false hope and then kick her out just when she thought she had a chance to be in the house.
Unfortunately you can't hold people's beliefs against them. I do believe its illegal. Nut she def didn't deserve anything and needed to be slapped. Also it's a way of warming other people and kinda self destruction for her on life TV doing that so it will be more justice done to her now.

I just watched cycle 19, and OH MY GOD Kristin was awful to the girls, especially Leila. She literally bullied Leila so bad and it pissed me off how Laura would just let her do it. Tbh they were intimidated by Leila, but Leila has made it as a model so 🤷🏽♀️ not to mention how awful she was to Victoria, who clearly had anxiety issues (although every girl the in the goddamn house was awful to her).

Lisa has struggled with addiction as well, she appeared on Celebrity Rehab (according to wikipedia, for alcohol, marijuana, amphetamines, cocaine and mushrooms) but she's still alive.

I watched her season when it came out. I was 12 years old and thought she was just silly and goofy. Rewatched the season now in my late 20s and oh my god i didn't realize she was drunk the whole time lol
Actually, Alexandria didn't push Brittani to tears. Brittani and Molly acted out in front of Nigel Barker on set, telling Alexandria that she didn't deserve to win the challenge that day. During panel, Tyra confronted Alexandria about the situation, Brittany and Molly started rolling their eyes and Tyra asked them what was up. Brittani admitted that she didn't feel that they chose the right person to win the challenge and both Tyra and Nigel put her in her place, which is why Brittani walked off stage.
That situation wasn't Alexandria's fault. Alexandria was minding her own business, wasn't bragging, wasn't saying anything about it and was even sitting on the opposite side of the room after the photo shoot.
Thank you!! Now she's not innocent, because she was a bit harsh, but that incident wasn't her fault.

Brittani and Molly weren’t acting out, though. Have you seen the episode? They were talking quietly to each other and Alexandria yelled across the room “I can hear you” which is when the conflict started.
Alexandria never took responsibility for her actions and always blamed other girls for not liking her. Super infuriating.

At least Bianca was mean to Heather's face.

I watched that episode years ago. Yes stunning Robin could be annoying with the Bible,however the industry was trying to get her to go against her belief on getting semi naked. They,were mean to her and it was best for them to let her go. Shannon,Robin and Ms.lizzie were all Virgins on the show and they became great friends. Because of their beliefs.

If you're an ANTM fan, LightingUrMind has a great channel devoted to just it. She has several different formats she follows, like "How TF didn't so and so Win?!", or "Hard to Deal With...". They're just clips from the show, with a little written commentary thrown in, but it's nice to be able to watch an entire season worth of shows, in about 45minutes. Now I haven't watched Top Model in years, so her videos are a good way to look back.

Based on things she said, and videos she posted, it seemed as though she has a lot of mental health issues, and often times would go long stretches without uploading, so it could have something to do with that. Or maybe she received too many copyright strikes, and TH-cam deleted her channel. Either way, sorry to see it go.

Ms.Lizzie from season 1, Mollie Sue I cannot remember her season. Katarzyna,Stacy Ann and Anya all from season 10. They were very sweet and they stayed away from the drama in the house.
Alexandria didn't push Brittani to tears. Brittani flipped out at Alexandria during an ad campaign in front of Nigel Barker and the panel of judges called Brittani out on it. They said that they didn't care how Alexanria acted in real life, that business was business and she shouldn't have acted that way in front of clients. This caused Brittani to have a panic attack and walk off stage, so in reality, it was Brittani's own doing.
Maybe the fact that Alexandria won A FREAKING CAR that made Brittani's jealousy exploded. At first Brittani just kind of pissed that Alexandria won the challenge but later she became extremely mad when she found out Alexandria won a car, not to mention it was the newest, latest model from Ford. Brittani just can't hold it any longer and started to through a tantrum toward Alexandria
She was jealous. If Alexandria hadn't won the car, nothing would've happened.

I disdained Bianca. She was very obnoxious. When going through comments related to ANTM or RPDR, I fear that these shows teach young girls (and boys) it is okay to be unpleasant. They teach you that that kind of behaviour means confidence. It does not.

Then she tries to sabotage Jenna in the Four Beauties challenge and Jenna wound up winning and picking Chantal again. Karma is a bitch and Chantal got to reap those benefits 😂.

Yes, she was/is plus-sized. In the real world there’re chunky ppl everywhere, so it comes across as normal. But really, take a look at any high-fashion runway show or editorial shot by (for example) Patrick Demarchelier, David Sims, Sølve Sundsbø, etc for W, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, etc and it’s very obv that thin is still very much the norm when it comes to high fashion

Not true, plenty models actually gained weight during the weeks they were there. They make their own meals. But a lot of wannabe models have been put on a pedestal all their lives and find it hard that there are others that can compete with them when it comes to beauty or likability. There are usually a few big egos that stir things up and devide and you´ll get problems in any group of people that don´t know eachother and have different life styles and opinions that have to live together and can´t get out for weeks.

Man, I loved Jacklyn, and Bree. They made me smile every time they were on the screen, felt they both we're robbed their seasons. And, I'm sorry, but when in the hell was Kristen a "fan favorite"?!?! Cuz I don't know a single person who liked her or Laura. They both were mean, awful, bullies, who did nothing but put others down, but especially Leia. Makes me so happy to learn Leia is a very successful, in demand, runway model, and Kristen is NOT!!

Definitely agree with pretty much most of everyone on the list, especially #1! Don't know why Alexandria's up there though. I mean, sure she had her moments here and there, but I do think she really was misunderstood for the most part. I used to hate Jade back then, right now she's one of my favorites, everything about her is iconic, that cycle was gold, Furonda, Danielle, Joanie, Gina, the high shoes challenge, everything about Thailand, one of the best. Lisa is not hated, I don't dislike her, is just that I was rooting for Allison, BOTH TIMES!

I'll never get why some of this girls were allowed to continue on after behaving the way they did? Robin shouldn't have even wasted hers and Tyra's time, nor took another girl's spot at being on the show. I believe in God as well, but ol girl was trying to be ANTM. Had she done her research as to what types of photo shoots the contestants might have to be willing to pose nude or(hell, even models that get selected by model agencies)the illusion of nude. She was better off trying to become a model for church attire. I'm not shaming her and she is a pretty woman, but if she was so religious she would've remembered that casting judgement onto others is a sin within itself. I don't try shoving my beliefs down anyone else's throats, because it's their own free right to believe in whomever, or not believe. Another thing is that models travel all over the world, if they can't completely trust themselves to not cheat on their bfs/gfs, it's probably best to either break up or get a break in their relationships just so they're not cheating and hurting anyone they're dating.
