Every gamer in China import from Hong Kong anyway. Won't make much of a difference.

      1. You can buy a Switch pre-hacked really easily. So maybe that's why :/
      2. I think you don't understand how Wechat is EVERYWHERE. Everyone does litterally everything with it so having to connect it to your Switch is litterally a non issue. When they buy their game physical or digital they use Wechat to pay anyways.

@prosenjitnaskar-c2w dude, I have WeChat installed. I have a pretty good idea how it works. But people scoff at the idea of buying Switch locally due to the lack of games available for their local market. So they import. And Nintendo eshop cards are not that hard to obtain.

Not sure if this is because of the switch 2 (which it's much too early to do that, i think) or this is china only, which may indicate the tension between the two countries

I hope that in the game we will finally have a store to buy the characters, karts, and any customization of the karts with the parts that we have collected during the race instead of unlocking them in stages according to the parts that we have!

This is very true. I live in Fukuoka Japan and briefly worked at the international airport here. The amount of Chinese tourists leaving Japan with PS5s and Switches is wild. Tourists from China buy a TON of electronics from Japan. There must be something physically different with the versions sold in China.

My guess is that Tencent has some ownership over PalWorld/PocketPair, and staying involved with Nintendo would be a conflict of interest, and Nintendo would rather pull out than find another partner... Nintendo probably wasn't making much money there.

They even decided against building Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Beijing because of Nintendo's lack of popularity in China.

@@MrSRArter, Lies! Nintendo don't want to make Theme park in China because Nintendo aren't bending the knee to ccp.... Chinese government want to censored and make Nintendo characters communist supporter/approved...
China has no freedom of market, the Communist dictates it.
Nintendo is just BASED company, 👏👏👏
