Question 1: D Question 2: A Question 3: E Question 4: E Question 5: B Question 6: C
@@supernovic99 hi if you still want to know: the bid rent theory is basically that the farther you get away from the CBD, the less land costs (for a larger area of land as well). so people closer to the CBD will be able to afford the high end retail, and it makes more sense for business to be near the CBD. if you want to think about process of elimination, it’s not A since bid rent says land cost is high, and not C because manufacturing is the ring after the businesses and CBD stuff (think primary sector and secondary sector from unit 7, if you’ve done that), not D because the city center is too crowded for that, and not e because again, crowded, land costs more and there’s less of it. i hope that helps!!
sometimes there are so many similarities in each model that you could BS your way into it. I BSed the unit 7 frq and got a 15/15, you got this! 2 more days to go
Commenting on the off chance someone sees this comment. Does anyone know what model Phnom Penh in Cambodia would follow? My research is telling me Southeast Asian, but that could just be conformation bias.
Looking at Google Maps and Wikipedia, it looks like the CBD is centered at/around the port zone, with squatter settlements further out and some farming/market gardening out there too (I didn't search long enough to identify all the features of the model, but the Southeast Asian City Model is definitely the closest fit). Hope you see this!
