- Epiphany is a season to see Jesus as He is and it is also a time to see ourselves for who we are. In today’s gospel from Luke 5 we see examples of both. Jesus, the Master, is the great miracle worker who calls Peter to cast his net so he can get a great number of fish. Jesus also calls Peter to be a fisherman of men. We also see Peter overwhelmed by his sin. Jesus tells him to not be afraid. There is not one but two miracles before us today: the catching of a large number of fish and God’s grace shown to simple sinners. -Pastor Iwinski
