I have this hatchet and used it extensively on a 900-mile off road moto trip through Colorado. I liked it but I thought my little Fiskars hatchet threw bigger chips/cut faster and didn’t bury as hard as the Husky because of the Fiskars’ Scandi-like grind. I’ll try to give the Husky a sharpen and mirror polish as you show and see if performance improves for my use. It might be an interesting comparison for you to do of a very uninteresting hatchet (Fiskars). Thanks for the video, you did a good job!
Thanks for your comment. Honestly, the Fiskars Aces don't visually appeal to me but I can see the value of a comparison. I do have a Marbles Camp Axe and Collins Camp Axe, which are comparable to the Husky. I will be doing videos on them as soon as I can. Will look into doing one with the Fiskars. Which model do you have?
@@PreachingJesusif you mean the Fiskars hatchet then yes I would say so. I used it one summer and managed to put a big chip in the blade - wasn’t abusive and never hit a rock I know of. I’d still buy it again though because I like how it cuts.

@@urbanknifeguy I have the small X7 hatchet that comes in at about $35 and the 23.5” X15 at about $60-$70 I think.
@@johnp.5882 Thanks. The X7 would be comparable in size to this husky. But I suspect the head is lighter.
@@johnp.5882I've heard that the steel is really soft on that hatchet? Have you found that to be true?
