There are additional facts about Princess Peach in some of the replies to this post (at time of typing, one but there could be more eventually).
Fun fact that you may or may not know;
The reason Bowser actually kidnaps Princess Peach almost every game is because she has access to Light magic that can reverse the effects of Bowser's Dark magic. I'm pretty sure it's the reason that the sky was clear when she left Bowsers castle.
Now for the explanation of why the sky wasn't clear when Kamuk snagged her from Jr.'s ship. Well it could be because of the Vibe Scepter which is not a sexual relief device you dirty minded punks but is a magical tool to give emotion true form. It allowed Princess Peach to use her emotions to get the edge on her enemies by becoming a slow but large walking fireball when she's in rage, crying giant spouts of water when she's in gloom (not the Pokémon), restoring health (maybe of only her but it might work on others as well) by keeping a calm and level head and her ability to leap through and float through the air when she's feeling joyful. I'm actually pretty sure the Joy Vibe also is why she actually floats down from wherever she is being held captive.
Final thing I want to mention is that there are signs in video games and anime (The Law of Ueki springs to mind) where one magic will influence another. Take the Vibe Scepter's influence with Princess Peaches Light magic and it would augment the power greatly, probably allowing for invisibility when she wants to be left alone, a darkness surrounding her when she is feeling scared and weak and in the matter of how World 8 ended with the sky being clear, when she is at ease (but not calm exactly) than making the world more clear and happy.
These are just some explanations that I had heard from people as well as from the Peach vs Zelda DEATHBATTLE, a mild amount of research on the nets and my basic gut instinct. Hope it was helpful.

Well okay I did some more research, and I guess she actually has what is called 'heart power' which is what allows her to reverse curses as well as several other abilities like making Sheep rain from the sky and healing herself and her allies in some of the RPGs, but it's basically Light magic.
The point is that this is again partially gut instinct from what I could assume based off of several other games and anime I have played/watched in the past. It could very well all just be the delusions of a nutter with access to the internet, but judge not those by first glance might they turn violent the next day is a lesson taught to us by our holy lord Magikarp. ALL HAIL ZE KARP!
Cool, I've had a mint condition holo Majora cart but I personally HATE Majors soooooooo much so thanks, maybe I can make a quick 30 to 40 bucks on it.
I would keep it, but then again maybe that's just me. If you have the box and everything else you can fetch around 80+ for it.

Awesomefaceprode you dont acually need the propeller suit to get the final star coin in the battle ship if you take the duck looking robot to your right and take the ice flower and freeze the robot you can throw it at it

Oh man, I overuse sooo much stuff. Those are just phrases that my brain uses to give myself like an extra second or two so I can come up with something else to say haha. I try not to do it a lot but it can't be helped.

About the peace thing...when peace is restored, reconstructuin would begin and (in the case of World 8) the smole coild clear up considering the volcanoes are likely artifical (they were probably only there because of Bowser's magic...
