- A tshechu (Dzongkha: ཚེས་བཅུ།, literally "day ten") is any of the annual religious festivals held in each district or dzongkhag on the tenth day of a month of the lunar Tibetan calendar. The month depends on the place. Tshechus are religious festivals of the Drukpa Lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.
This Tshechu festival was celebrated in Rewalsar Lake, also known as Tso Pema, is a mid-altitude lake located in the mountains of the Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh, India.
Many religious rituals were done and I was fortunate to witness this holy Buddhist festival and thankful to
Khenpo Phuntsok Jungney Negi or Acharya Ramesh Chander negi president bodhi chitta foundation Buddhist Meditation Center Rewalser Mandi Tso Pema for explaining everything about Tshechu festival.

Yes, I vividly remember the ladies from Kinnuar singing songs in praise of Guru Rinpoche and a couple of floats would slowly float in line towards the ladies as spoken by Khenpo. Both on 9th and 10th day, there used to be lots of dancing at night. Were such a wonderful and memorable time !👌👌👌💕💕💕
