I love it too! It shows us the viewers how human he is, that even with the wealth of knowledge he has about meteorology, he's still prone to 'ooops' moments like the rest of us 😄

I've been getting ready. Lived in Central Florida for almost 40 years. When it comes to hurricanes, we have been very lucky lately. They had been been passing by us. Looks like it's our turn again. All we can do is prepare.

I'm in the Lowcountry in SC. Our weather reports comes from Savannah GA or Charleston SC. I subscribed to you because you went way more in depth & truth than either of our local stations. Thank you. I stayed through Mathew and was without power for 2 wks, my Birthday was during that time. It was rough, our local weather kept saying it wasn't going to be much up until a couple days before it hit. Our Island was devastated, down trees everywhere, a small funnel was in mine & my 4 neighbors yards. We was prepared but not for the sudden upgrade of the storm. I'LL TAKE ALL THE INFO I CAN GET. from now on.

I remember about 10 years ago we had a hurricane heading straight to Tampa, I packed my stuff and headed to my sister house in fort Myers trying to get away from the storm, guess what, the storm didn’t hit Tampa, the hurricane made a sharp turn towards fort Myers, what I’m trying to say is don’t trust the weather channel, only God knows where the storm is going to hit.
when it gets in the Gulf all bets are off ..Historically true that they seek the warmest water ...

The thing is if it moves west Tampa would still be in the “dirty” part of the hurricane. Better if it moves more east…. Have to prepare no matter what

@@Freptboy Winds are shifting. Tropical Activity in the Western Gulf generally quite down by early October. It’s headed for Florida. And will reach there as a Cat 3.

The news loves a good hurricane, they get a huge ratings boost. Traditionally Tampa has always had hurricanes but we have been fine. Don't let the news amp you up.

I'm glad that Marion County isn't one of the counties that was declared an emergency. My younger sister lives in Holiday, near Tampa and is on high alert and preparing for anything. Hopefully she'll be ok.
Gas up now in Marion. Evacuees come inland, and all it takes is a sneeze in the models to turn it into a shortage situation like with Irma/Elsa.
Desantis declared a state of emergency for the whole state. I'm in Seminole County and I gassed up yesterday. You should be prepared. Remember hurricane Charlie! It was forecast to impact the Tampa Bay area and ended up making a quick jog to the right and struck Punta Gorda. They didn't have much time to react.

I love how the storm track changes day to day BUT they know exactly what's gonna happen 20 years from now...despite every prediction being wrong. Still have glaciers. Polar bears doing fine. Great barrier reef still healthy.

Step 1 Get prepared and wait it out.
Step 2 If it's a powerful Cat 3 or higher ....

If we all find out too late we’ll be stuck in traffic . Sitting ducks ! 😂
Cat 4 or up- leave. Anything else, just enjoy the day off at work.

I'm not quite sure but they keep telling us it has become a category 3 hurricane yet this dude just said there are 45 mph winds which is in no way shape or form a category 3 hurricane it's not even a category 1 hurricane
