I remember watching Sasha's youtube covers of deathcore songs. And now here he is as Alex Terrible. Its crazy to me
They played some US shows back in 2016 and 2017. Saw them play at 2016 summer slaughter with cannibal corpse, nile, suffocation, carnifex, and after the burial. Then shortly after they were on the This is exile 10 year anniversary tour with Whitechapel, chelsea grin and oceano. Such a great time.
I just hope the band can continue to tour and avoid the stupid conflict that's going on and needs to end so people in Russia and Ukraine can get back to more important things...like moshing.

As for the song, I appreciate that he’s calling out Russia for killing Ukrainians yet the Americans and Russians listening have no clue.
It’s a powerful line, not because of who it came from, but the context. He’s referring to Russia - Ukraine. This whole song is talking about the senselessness of killing your flesh and blood from a home you share.
If anyone was wondering what the song was about. It’s probably the most poetic death metal song I’ve ever heard. It’s not the same tropes about poor me, poor this, life sucks, everyone’s dead, etc. It was a song about war, senseless death, and how he will fight against it with words.

It's so funny how my perspective of this band evolved. Before listening to them, I mentally had them in a deathcore box based on their name/branding. After finally listening to them they're not at all what I expected them to be. Russian roots and European vibes that definitely bleed into the rhythmic elements of their music. Not only that, but I think I've landed on the feeling that they are an interesting blend of Deathcore, Nu-Metal and Arena Metalcore. They have blastbeat deathcore sections that will slam into beatdown nu metal grooves and then go into a massive/epic arena, Parkway Drive-esque" chorus, straight back into deathcore blast beats. All of this topped of with Alex's unreal vocals.

I’m not heavily into Metalcore (I’m more of a Prog Metal fan) but I’ve always loved Pantera & the first time I heard & saw Alex he reminded me so much of Phil & like you said the band & their songwriting is similar in musical structure as well. @@hhasteas a guitarist myself it’s more fun to play rhythm live. Leads cause too much stress lol melodic/chuggy parts are just fun as hell on stage. Also easier to play so it’s a win win.

@williamdefortier8205 same here25 years of studio work. You can hear him doubling in the one take. Alex voice is unique with his training for MMA his core support is 100%. Also sounds like he can engage both the false vocal folds and and his normal vocal projection. Will Ramos went on a singer/vocal coach Chanel the charismatic voice. They put a camera down his throat so you could watch him sing. He can twist the muscle closed, the doctor had never seen that before.check it out.

What’s great about this song is it’s an Anti-Russia War song. Alex and Simmons did an amazing job vieling it to give him plausible deniability should Russia come after him for 1984 and now this.
