Marks solution here makes perfect sense. There has to be some accountability. What's the point of VAR when it's still being run by the same referees. This is the only way forward if they care about transparency. It looks like they don't. Always taking the highlight away from the game. Calafiori scored a beautiful goal and no one is really talking about it, all because of incompetent and corrupt referees.
PGMOL will never change. It never will. Cause fans aren't united enough in it. It'll never be pushed enough for change, cause while we all know this case, we know it's wrong. But there are other cases where choices are 50/50. Even the one we know is wrong, yet you see fans who say it was CORRECT. We're so dived, and we're not pushing for change enough on a united front, and till that happens, it'll never change. Not blaming it on fans, never have, never will. But it shows that PGMOL will NEVER be fixed.
Why can't PGMOL send Michael Oliver to the screen where he can get a second chance to look at it and he can still stick with his on pitch decision if he so wishes? That's how it works in other leagues.
Exactly, this is a rule change that could and should be implemented immediately. If the match referee issues a straight red card they should immediately go to watch the replay themselves to confirm their own decision. VAR shouldn’t need to send them over, it should be automatic and required. Wouldn’t fix Oliver because he knew what he was doing, but might stop genuine mistakes.
spot on Mark! they'll never admit anything... bit off topic, but i remember when you stepped in for Rashford aabout the Belfastgate coz you thought that's not possible, and then you genuinely said you were wrong... these mfers would never admit. I think so far they've only apologised once, can't remember what game it was, it was last season
Endo and Enciso one isn’t a red though Mark. Enciso goes to control the ball with his foot, Endo has instead wanted to play the ball with his head. Yellow at max, Enciso didn’t even know he was there
Arsenal weren’t concerned with referees in the fa cup vs United. Fans need to speak up even when its against a team they don’t like….we just want a fair and well officiated game
You can’t create chances if your no 9 cannot hold up a single ball and link play. He is absolutely shocking. 72 mil down the drain. Send him on loan to championship next season to learn the fundamentals, build up his physique and hopefully his balance and first touch (doubt it) and if it still doesn’t work out, GET RID. We cannot afford to give players 5,6,7 years like we have done historically. If they don’t cut it in 2-3 years, take the loss and move on.
The chances you create are for your Striker, not the other way around. I understand his hold-up play is mediocre, but Man United rarely create chances for their forwards. Bruno having 62 shots vs Rasmus, who's somewhere between 15-20, is a testament to that. I've seen where Hojlund attempts to make runs in behind, and Bruno plays wide, Garnacho cuts inside, and Amad cuts inside and shoots. Hojlund may never be good enough for Man United but dont act like his stats are solely down to him.
Szoboszlai had perhaps one of the best midfield plays of the season. Midget on the other hand was extremely lucky, I'd very arrogant and lacks everything a CB should have
