I missed this earlier. Baidu has reviews in several places: 1) Listings on Baidu Maps. If you have a local physical business in China, these are important. 2) Listings on other Baidu properties, like their B2B (wholesale website) 3) Consumer reviews of websites advertised on Baidu. But these aren't used much.
I've seen some baidu links point to pan and csdn.. and some are not accessible from outside of china! Is there a vpn that allows access to china?
A while back, I used Astrill VPN to access a China server from outside of China.

It's seem like if you don't know Chinese, it would be difficult to use baidu. Unless there's functions to change the settings for languages
Yes, it's also pretty weak for searching for English-language stuff compared to Google.

You can find websites for companies on Baidu, and those websites will probably have phone numbers on them. Is that what you mean?
Is it possible to remove baidu and use Google search engine. When you not in China. E.g am now in Holland.
Phones let you customize the apps and search engines used.
