Worldviews are subjective, there is no way a worldview analysis can count as evidence for or against his God. His whole schtick is meaningless.
Indeed. One might even consider to go full Gödel on it and state that worldviews are by construction incoherent, incomplete and inconsistent. So, one can not only not verify or "prove" the correctness of ones own worldview from within ones own worldview, it is also impossible to "prove" the incorrectness of a worldview from another worldview. This destroys Diapers true dichotomy "there is the god worldview and the non-god worldview, there is no third option". This is apart from the fact that I reject the "law" of excluded middle anyway but that is for another day.

The law of cause and effect for example isn't a law at all and may well not be universal and unchanging - but so what? I can still observe cause and effect in the universe and am therefore justified in applying it.

DD heard that word and then smugly tossed out the phrase "Existence is not a predicate" as if it were a card from Magic The Gathering!! LOL! As he often does, this gaffe reveals that DD hasn't taken even a single course where epistemology is discussed. This screwup reveals that he doesn't understand even the basics! HAHAHAHA!!!
(For those who don't know, the phrase "Existence is not a predicate" refers to a common mistake where people thinks that "the act of existing" is somehow a property of the thing that exists. In truth, saying that "Horses exist" or "Unicorns do not exist" tell us nothing about horses or unicorns. Instead, these phrases tell us about _reality_ and about what reality contains, not about the concepts of horses or unicorns. This is something we learn in a first-year course that covers basic epistemology. it's truly hilarious that DD threw out this phrase like he was casting a spell to defeat SecularOpinion!!!)

Yep - DD comes across catchphrases used by apologists and then parrots them without any real grasp of the underlying issues. When someone says they have no philosophical knowledge, he pretends he knows about philosophy (as in this example), but when he talks to an actual philosopher, any term THEY use is suddenly 'philosospeak' and sophistry, used in an attempt to 'pull the wool over his eyes' (but of course, 'he wasn't born yesterday').
His persistent inability to clarify anything he says is a sure sign that he can't explain what supports his 'position' - he just knows his funny little rhetorical attack script and reverts to the meta and ad-homs whenever someone takes him off it. He's always terrible at defending his claims, and when he gets caught off-guard and tries to do so, it's always a disaster - mainly because his position (that his specific god is the necessary precondition for intelligibilty) is indefensible. That's why his stock get-out is to pivot via "the bottom line is..." or "lemme ask you a question..." or "you're not understanding..." - all of which are designed to redirect the exchange to get him back on his socratic method, loaded with false dichotomies, appeals to ignorance and bald assertions.
It reminds me of how he throws out “that’s a category error” but has no idea what a category error is.

Sec, who runs the only discord I'm in, took the exact tack I've taken in tackling Darth, which is that we all assume reality exists and we attempt to deal with it on its terms, because you have to. Denying reality on a sufficiently enough level leads to death. Evolutionary forces have molded our brains to at least somewhat accurately reflect reality as a survival mechanism within it. Species who could not accurately model reality in their cognition ceased to exist.
So we all assume reality exists.
We do not all assume the supernatural, supernatural causation, or a deity, or anything outside space and time, exists.
So we begin with existence, all of reality, as a starting point. Darth pulls his Jumping to Conclusions mat out, and leaps at least two or more whole steps down the thing before we even get our shoes on. He's assumed supernatural causation, and god, and stuff existing outside time and space and all that.
He then argues we can't appeal to existence as a singular foundation for all truth and reason and facts and logic. He doesn't attempt to justify this. He just declares it to be so, then demands we offer up some alternative to supernatural causation, deity etc but he demands we make the same stupid assumptions he does to even offer an alternative.
This is all a shell game meant to conceal that Darth hasn't bothered doing his due diligence to show us why existence, reality, can't be the singular foundation, and he doesn't do his due diligence to show us the supernatural is even viable, much less deity.
Exactly how Darth should be handled. Point out that assuming supernature and deity to assert supernature and deity to conclude supernature and deity, is hogwash and make him prove them first.
He can't do it, he knows it, he rages quits. Darth loses. You win. Everything is right in the universe.

I think I'm going to rage quit as well. Why do so many debaters feel they have to try and answer questions about the fundamental nature of the cosmos? Last I checked, no one knows how it works, so why not just say, "I don't know how it works and Darth's explanation is unconvincing?" Not knowing the answer to a question doesn't make bad answers correct. Sure, if we answer these important questions with "I don't know", Darth will likely say "then you have no ultimate foundation for intelligibility". So what? That doesn't make the presup argument correct, it simply acknowledges our current limitations.
Darth has a branch of the script if you claim "you don't know" what the concrete universal is. He calls it an "atom bomb" or "philosophical suicide" and will say all your causal relations are in virtue of "I dont know" and you lack Intelligibility because of it...and from there you'll be lucky if you can get another word in.
Any statement you make will be overtalked or criticized because you don't know what secures it. He will also claim a false dichotomy that there is a concrete universal...or causation is random. If you don't know what the concrete universal is...your worldview is a random universe, so you can't make any knowledge claims.

Darth's "True Dichotomy" as he presents it, is a false one. He implies that there are only trwo choices and if you reject one, the other is true by default. But Darth's two choices are not the only choices available.
