AliExpress and wish have so much good material for resin Crafting they have glitter,gold flakes,molds and so much more they also have different denomination of money that looks so real it's fake money of course but everything on the bills is exactly what's on real money . Those would have been good for this project cuz they have 100,s and 50,s and 20,s ❤️

    • @DarrickaWhite

      Hi. No I didn’t have any residue. Residue is an issue of not mixing the epoxy completely. Make sure you mix until clear.. just to be on the safe side, I mix for no less than 5 minutes

    Question! Even if I’m just adding glitter in the resin and some vinyl stickers (nothing else) should I still cover it with some modge pod?? And also, how and where should I dry it if I don’t have a heat gun?

    • @DarrickaWhite
      @DarrickaWhite  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would suggest sealing it with something (especially if it’s going to be used). As far as the drying process, you only need the heat gun to pop the bubbles that surface from the epoxy. I put my trays in the closet (dust free place) for 24 hours.

    • @DarrickaWhite
      @DarrickaWhite  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do my trays so much differently than this now. Refer to the Kobe tray video.. but whenever you apply epoxy or mod dodge, let dry completely. I also apply my images with sticker paper

    hey i'm hella late but i got a question: i'm tryna make my own rolling tray and i poured color resin first as the "background." I wanna put paper images over the colored resin once it hardens, then put mod podge over the paper to seal it. then i want to add a final layer of glittery resin. Will this work?? someone help please

    • @lucifherplays7859
      @lucifherplays7859 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! Just let things dry thoroughly in-between layers. Try to do slight glitter on the top so you can see thru it still!

    • @DarrickaWhite
      @DarrickaWhite  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes that will work. Also make sure you seal your image with something so that the resin won’t make the ink bleed

    • @Spooky-Sara

      Bailey Shay you can buy spray sealant from Michaels or other craft stores. Mod podge also works but make sure to do multiple coats of it.

    Do you think that clear enamel spray paint meant for cars would be a sufficient replacement for the epoxy? I’m just thinking since I can get the spray enamel for like $6 instead of spending $20 or more for just one that I’m making for a gift. But I don’t know if the epoxy does something that spray enamel wouldn’t.

    Do you ever sand your trays? If so what’s your process? I’m just getting into this, I finished a tray last night & there are some kind of sharp parts (that’s how I can explain it) idk if I should add a second coat or just sand it only because it actually came out good during the first coat

    • @DarrickaWhite
      @DarrickaWhite  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No I don’t sand them. If you have parts that’s sticking up, it’s probably bubbles that came to the surface. After I epoxy, I watch my tray for at least 15 mins bc bubbles will rise & if you don’t pop them, they’ll harden & cause the rough surface
