You can do it! Pray to Jesus to remove this addiction. Surrender yourself to HIM. Go to an AA meeting. The principles are all about surrendering to God (despite what other people who don't understand it say). I have been working in the substance abuse field for years as a counselor and a case manager. Sadly like most people I also have addicts in my family. I've seen people come out of this and it's amazing for them and those around them.
But the only way I've seen it work is to first surrender your will over to God. Let HIM work in you and then get to an AA meeting. Get a sponsor bc everyone who suffers from addiction needs a support system who understands addiction as well as a church support system.
If you're dependent on pills go to detox if you can get into one because cold turkey is not something I recommend especially if you do it without medical care.
Get that garbage out of your Body so you can start clean but that is only the beginning. You have to do the work on yourself, read the Bible, go to church, work the 12 steps and abstain, abstain abstain- that includes marijuana and alcohol..
Biden passed some crazy Bill called Harm Reduction Act- well it's an evil bill and just keeps people dependent on drugs. So if you go to a treatment center refuse any kind of opiates(Suboxone/Subutex) they may offer. They believe this stuff will keep you away from the street drugs. You can refuse. Don't let them talk you into it. It's just bc that's how they get their funding. But They won't hold it against you if you refuse it.
I am currently working at a facility where some of our patients refuse Suboxone and it's fine. Stick to your guns. Stay clean and then work on getting sober- meaning working on your thought life and your heart. God will lead the way. I pray for your healing.

I got to witness God’s healing first hand. My brother was in a terrible car crash that nearly Decapitated him. His car ran under a semi trailer at 50mph after the truck ran a red light. The medics thought he was dead, and rescued his girlfriend and my nephew first. The finally lifted the trailer enough to get to him and found he was still alive. He was airlifted to St Mary’s Trauma center where he was operated on. We prayed. The doctors, some of the best in Florida, all said he won’t last the night. We prayed. He survived the night, a week, and then they said he will be paraplegic and incapable of caring for himself. We still prayed. He spent several months in a coma, we prayed, and when he woke up, he recognized his family. He went to rehab where he learned to walk again and speech therapy to talk again. Today he cares for himself with no assistance. God always listens and answers our prayers in accordance with his will and what’s best for all of us.

I have a similar confession, I had cardiac arrest in 2006 and 13 years later I was told I am the first person on record in Britain whose heart has restarted by itself after cardiac arrest.
In 2007 a cardiology surgeon told me I needed an emergency operation, but my chances of surviving the operating table were extremely small, a few days later he burst onto the ward excited as a little kid on Christmas morning and almost shouted "That went far better than any of us had expected!"

I’m sorry for what feels like a loss. But words of encouragement as I also have lost my dad last year: she is already with you. Quantum physics says energy cannot be destroyed only transmuted somewhere else so everything that has been created will always be there even if you don’t see it. She is with you now in the air, in the trees, in the grass, in the atmosphere, in your heart. And following Jesus, you know that you will most definitely see her again. There IS life after death because it is ONLY your body that dies and your body was just the vehicle that allowed you to move on this planet. The bible and the commandments are given us so that we may live in accordance with God's will. Try to at least, through assistance from the holy spirit, which is our help. The holy spirit is sent to believers. However, we must humble ourselves and commit to Him (God). To do so is to admit that we are not on par with God and that no earthy attempts to rectify our sinful nature are adequate or worthy. Only through the blood of Jesus can we be saved. It is true, there is only one God but God exists in three persons. God the father, God the son and God The Holy Spirit. It makes logical sense if you agree that we are not equal to God, If we were then our human attempts alone could justify us and we could enter into heaven with those attempts. Knowing that we are not anywhere near to the divine holiness of God makes it plain to see why we need a redeemer and who is the only redeemer worthy to save the entire sinful existence that is mankind? God of course. And can God die? No. So what is the solution to a God who has created a people who He loves yet cannot save themselves? He would prove the ultimate father figure and save His own children by becoming a man (Jesus) and dying the death of a man. Whoever believes in this ultimate sacrifice would not perish but have eternal life. But no, a person cannot go on sinning and would not go on sinning. If you continue to willingly sin then the truth is not in you. If you sin because you fail (as you will, being a humanbeing) and you ask God's forgiveness He is faithful to forgive and cleanse you of all unrighteousness, but you cannot make it a habit to sin. It's not that being a Christian let's you off so you are free to do as you please and live in sin, quite the contrary. The more invested you are with God the more you want to please Him as a child wants to please their parent. A good child. A bad child will take every opportunity to do bad but a good child will try their hardest even though they frequently fail, their juvenile attempts are counted toward them. Only God is good and works do not save yet they are evidence of the spirit of God working within us. Pray to God that the holy spirit will give you discernment and you will see the truth is simple and completely life changing. We serve a living God, He is alive, He is here and He listens. Jesus loves you more than any love you've ever experienced on earth, any love you can ever even imagine. I think you were meant to know that. In context of John 5:30, have you ever heard any prophet can say that they can judge as soon as they hear and their judgement is just(righteous)? I believe you will only find prophets that judge according to the commandments and the will of God. Jesus judge as soon as He hear. Ony God can judge and said that his judgment is righteous. When He said it is the will of the Father, remember that Jesus is in his human form.
John 14:28, Jesus said "The Father is greater than I" because He is in His human form. Let me educate you, God is an omnipotent, He has unlimited power and authority. God is so holy that no human can meet him face to face in his original form because human is full of sins. Sin comes from the Devil. And Sin brings the Death.
