Did the Celtics play against 3 teams without their best players for the majority of each series and have a relatively easy path to the finals? Yes, yes they did. Was the West the more competitive division all year? Yes, yes it was And what happened when the best of the best of the west faced off against this "untested, fraudulent" team? They got their asses handed to them in a gentlemens sweep. The path to the finals is only as easy as the hardest matchup, and the Celtics path was so easy because they were just THAT much better than everyone else. Oh yeah and don't forget we only had Porzingis for like 5 of 19 playoff games so the Celtics weren't even fully healthy either
You have to lose 4 games to lose a series, boston didnt lose 4 games all post season long... 4-1 miami 4-1 cavs 4-0 pacers 4-1 mavericks We went 16-3 during the post season and our big was hurt the whole time except for 2 games against miami and 2 against the mavericks. We did get lucky with other teams being hurt but i promise you jimmy butts or haliburton or jarett allen would not have changed a damn thing
