    Thank you for these tips.
I gave up the old school way of doing water changes and before I bought my python off Amazon, I found it on FB MP used, but half the price, used it twice so far, love it so much.....what a life changer.
Can't wait to pimp mine out too....yay

Very nice job sir. Good detailed instruction. Really like the modifications you did here, they'll definitely improve the python hook setup.
    Thank you.

Life changing! Not totally setup but for first time, syphoned 10 gal out of quarantine tank direct to the garden & used Python hook and Aquaclear for totally painless refill. I'm still waiting for Melnor connectors to arrive & haven't decided if I need the pre-filter on the AquaClear extension. Next will be similar process with the 75 gal maintain. THANK YOU!!

Good video. Great ideas. I personally do not like being elbow deep in my tank either but Python now manufactures extended gravel tubes up to 72"

I have secured some small hole stainless steel mesh to the bottom of the original gravel cleaner fitment and that allows me to clean my gravel without any fear of sucking up any small fish or gravel.

That Aquaclear intake tube is the BEST. It reaches just shy of my 75 gal tank's 50% mark, which means now I don't have to babysit the draining portion. Bought the tube and Hook from amazon, then added them to my Lee's gravel vac plumbing. Thanks man. 🤜🤛

Hi, for your tank thats all good but i need to gravel clean as part of my maintenance routine. I will use some of your improovements as I now have 4 tanks that are all different distances away from my sink. I will use the quick snap connectors and the on off switch. Thank you for your ideas.

    Great ideas.
I'm having trouble getting mine to pick up larger pieces of fecal matter. I have a large flowerhorn in a 75 and am using the 24 in syphon tube. The particle just spin around the bottom third of the tube and then settle. Im wondering if the length of the tubing is effecting the vacuum. I trimmed the tube to about 25 feet and that helped but it's still not picking everything up. No after leaks in any of the connections either. Any ideas?

While the Hook and all your additions to the Hook may Increase Convenience, New Water shouldn't be added BELOW the Surface. This can cause Gas Exchange problems in the Tank's Water Column.
New Water Should always be poured through the atmosphere above the Water Surface and then penetrate the Surface.
One of the reasons Sink Faucets have aeration nozzles.
The Python Faucet Connection and Hose simply extend the length of one's Enclosed Household Plumbing.

A Paul McDonough Because I keep mostly wild caught plecos, I prefer to use aged RO water. On tanks that use tap or RO+tap, it too is aged. Very aware of micro bubbles and the apparent risks, but not an issue in my fish room. Your feedback is appreciated and solid advice for beginners. Thanks.

@@TMAquatics, True, since you are using RO (Reverse Osmotic Filtration) Water then you have already Eliminated the Risk of CO2 spiking in your Tank(s).
This spiking can occur with Ammonia and/or Chloramine treated Public Water reacting with Tank Water.
