John Lewis releases full Christmas advert 2023

John Lewis has released an upbeat tale of a young boy whose grow-your-own Christmas tree turns out to be a mischievous Venus flytrap as it firmly sidesteps the nation’s woes for the festive season.
The highly anticipated advert - a long-established feature of the UK’s festive retail landscape - is titled ‘Snapper, The Perfect Tree’ and follows the boy as he lovingly nurtures the plant from a seed bought at a local market, in the belief he is cultivating a perfect Christmas tree.

I just know there will be lots of ‘oh how unsuitable’ comments but I personally love the advert. It is fun & follows on from previous years quirky take on the season of goodwill

I didn't think that this year John Lewis could put out an even worse ad than in previous years ... this is utterly grotesque ... what is Christmas fun in teaching a child to feed insects to a plant .... truly horrible and I despair with today's youth if this is what they like. No father to be seen, of course, why am I surprised ?????
