Not much to say about trekking through history other than its a very solid low complexity title that would suit family game night, and now i'm keen to try out the other trekking games too.
Honestly this is one of my go to games for non heavy gamers. It’s super fun to play, the quality is high, and the teach is easy and players feel clever while playing it. Phenomenal game.
Its a nice production with a neoprene mat and some great artwork too. All considered at that price point I could see it having a place in many collections. And yes like you I'm curious about trekking the world now too.
THANKS for sharing! I enjoy watching your 3-minute game reviews. You give a quick, overall gist of the product that is helpful in deciding whether I would want to buy the game or not, and your videos are just fun to watch 😎
I really like the underdog games. They do a great job at learning through osmosis. I look forward to trekking the world second edition. It is going to make it more different from trekking the national parks and validate have both in your collection I hope.
I played it a few times with my group and while I do enjoy it, I feel it might be to obtuse and abstract for families, while a bit too random and repetitive to keep the attention of the "gamer" groups. I also recommend playing with the small expansion which adds a lot of variety to each round.

Yeah, its a real good time. Im keen to try the other two now. Trekking the world and trekking the national parks.
Great overview. The component quality here is way higher than I would expect from a family game. It's rather beautiful.

Another on my list for my kids... teaching and fun!

Families play Catan which is WAAAY more obtuse than this.
I played this a couple of times. It seems to be less about history, and more about an Americanised social and cultural view of history.
What does that pile of word salad mean?
