The first thing that we see that is the most significant and noticeable change is the adaptations of the shoulder buckles. Now, I had received contact from a few viewers who had mentioned that the shoulder buckles and size had made shouldering the rifle a bit of a challenge for them. And Agilite solved this with the new version 3.
When you order, you'll receive a hardware pack that is placed in the center pocket of the V3 carrier. Inside here you'll find 4 buckles and 2 low-profile shoulder straps. The low-profile shoulder straps allow you to run either the two QD buckles, one low-profile buckle on your strong side, or two low-profile buckles.
If you're not doing a lot of riding in vehicles, your need for the shoulder QDs is likely very low and you make like the unimpeded use of the low profile shoulder buckles better. The more I used them, the more I grew to be a fan.
The other change we see is a different version of the cummerbund QD attachment. This new buckle has a slit along the top and bottom to make the cummerbund removable. Using this, you could connect to various other styles of cummerbunds. But, it would have been nice to see some adaptions to the rear of the carrier to allow those common hook and loop cummerbund attachments to connect in more easily.
Overall with both changes so far, we see Agilite with a focus on options for the user. They're making the user research why something exists or designing products for a niche market of 4-5 people. The design obviously focused on being able to adapt to not only the mission but also the user preference.
Looking at the last change, we see the rear shoulder buckles that connect to the AMAP III have been removed. In V1 you had 4 sets of buckles that couldn't be removed and then in V2 they made the two bottom buckles removable and included them with the AMAP III. Now on the V3, all of the buckles use a more basic style so they can all be removed.,
This is nice for individuals who don't like the rear buckles just flopping around if you're not using a rear pack. Me, I had just been removing them and adding in the ITW qasm buckles they now include in the V3 so it's not a huge bump.
Overall, I think the V3 is right on the edge of being the most extreme carrier on the market. The only bit it's missing is the ability to adapt to different cummerbund styles to meet user needs. If that bit is solved.....I don't know why you'd own anything else if you're looking in this carrier category.

When I bought mine a month or so ago, they didn’t list it as a v3 but I got a v3. I didn’t realize there were any changes other than the shoulder buckles. Exciting to know that one day I can swap cummerbunds! This is my first carrier so I don’t really know if I dislike the cummerbund or not. Don’t think I’d want to sacrifice the ability to have both QD and on the fly adjustments. Here in Idaho we can have cold chilly mornings and very hot days so shedding layers throughout the day is a reality. As I’m sure it is in other places. Being able to easily adjust the cummerbund is most ideal. So glad they sent me a v3!
Same I ordered mine a couple weeks ago and I swear a day after they shipped, they released their video highlighting the v3. I was sure I was getting the v2 but got the v3
Just got mine kast night. Its a huge upgrade over my old one. At 5'11" and 230lbs with a bodybuilder build, i was super happy with how well it fits!

I just got mine today. Its easily the most comfortable piece of kit I've ever worn. It's comfy. Breathes well, and fits well. Personally I love the cummerbund.

I'm happy to see the advancement in your thinking on QD's for shoulder connections. Our SWAT team debated the same systems when looking at new body armor. Being able to quickly and accurately shoulder our duty rifles far outweighed the likelihood of vehicle egress. Unfortunately I was hurt before they settled on a different kit. At the time we were running Paraclete full armor systems that weighed, I swear, 600 lbs. I only kid a little, it's part of the reason for my injury. I wish we would have had the Agilite available to us. Keep up the great vids and I look forward to new content.
those Paracletes are definitely heavy!! And God forbid you ever pull one of those cables lol it's never going together again!

I like that they can change out the shoulder buckles but I've never been a fan of the adjustment bulk in the front. It's convenient the one time you size them, then in the way the rest of the time.
I was talking to someone on the Agilite team via email and they told me they are working on some sort of adapter pack thing so those of us with the version 2 K19 can turn it into the version 3. At least in regards to the shoulder strap things.

@@xTSAFEx to my understanding the V3 comes with the low profile straps and the original QD ones. So you can configure it either way you'd like.
@@thatliberalwithagun3122 correct. My comment was in reference to the V3 front bag only. To my recollection, the QD buckle on the shoulder straps of the V2 are removable. So if Agilite sells the V3 front bag and hardware then I can replace the bag and make a V2.5. At least this is what I am hoping....instead of having to purchase a whole new unit.

Thanks for sharing that info. I was wondering the same Re them selling the bucks for those with a V2. This gives me an idea of possibly even just making skits to the existing v2 buckles if I can move the attachment loops far enough to modify the existing non-removable buckles (ie assault pack and even cummerbund qd)

I devoted a lot of my time to that sport and got pretty far and did well in big tournaments like Vegas but once covid hit and shut the world down and my lady and I was expecting a child due to the lack of activities, I realized how much I missed just being with family vs travel chasing tournaments. But now I’m ready to be one with the gun as I was with a bow lol. So funny tho I got some many questions about where you took off to and I was like no clue! I was trying to be TH-cam famous lol.
I’m considering picking the K19 instead of the K zero in black for part-time security work, as could blend more like a vest. SHTF/ ranges, could always get some attachments in ranger green or black multicam to break up the black 😀

Try the scarab adapter from arbor arms for the cummerbunds adaptation. Will not work for everything, but it’s a Velcro adapter for skeleton cummerbunds that are open ended on the back(don’t have Velcro on the back)

I am still rocking the v1 k19 for trooper class in 3 gun. Not in a hurry to upgrade the front but the back plate would be super nice if i wasnt running the amap
@Steve Delaney up at my range we call it trooper class(more of a subdivision). Other clubs might have different names for it. It is pretty much carry everything you will need for the match no wagon or trunk reloads. The trooper has to carry ammo food and water plus anything else you need for the day on them. As well shot the course of fire in full kit with plates. You can run tac-ops open pcc or any other division with the trooper class at my club again other clubs may differ

Awesome video. I’m looking at getting my first plate carrier this week and I was looking at this one. I don’t know a lot about them so I’m trying to figure out what would be best for me. I’m 5’11 145lbs so it’s hard me to find things that fit right being so skinny. I don’t want to spend a ton but also don’t want to buy junk so somewhere in the price range of this one. Any info would be great. Thanks!
I have the v2 and love it, and i definetly don't have the cash to upgrade over some minor changes. But it's good to see they keep innovating.
We are still waiting on the BlueForce Gear Grid belt they promised (and if it has a better buckle now) and the RackMinus chest rig tho.
Hopefully they’ll release a V4 with a built in back flap cummerbund adapter like the K Zero 🙏🏽
In the meantime, Grim Hunter Tactical makes an adapter that allows Velcro cummerbunds. I think it's $50, but their current wait times are something like 3-4 months.

Hopefully they release an upgrade kit for the version 2.
The way the Version 2 is designed, it would be impossible to change out the QD buckles, unless you have access to a industrial grade sewing machine.
@@zacharyfett2491 I cut off the right side QD and replaced it with a metal g hook. They could use a g hook style connector for the QD buckles. I’d like the option to mix and match as I see fit.

I’m not really sure if I have a K19 v1or a K19 v2. However I’m trying to decide if it’s worth upgrading to the v3. Do you think it would be worth it? Below is my current setup for the most part. I might be missing something but it’s almost complete.
My carrier does not have the ability to add a placard but I did buy the AXL adapter to convert it. I bought the HRT Maximus placard.
I’m really not too sure about the cummerbund either so am considering trying to figure something out. I really like the ability to remove the QR buckles. I’m not a huge fan of them and wish they would run tubes.
I’m running the AMAP III as well. Plus a Chase Tactical nut pouch with soft armor. Side plates. Ferro Wingthing and Knife Hook attachments.

Glad I watched this video after seeing reddit pretty much trashing this PC. Most of which have most likely never owned this particular PC. The shoulder QD buckle swap to slick side pretty much solves my main concern. Thanks for the comprehensive run down.
i know agilite markets the k19 as "fitting most plates", but does it play well with 8.75”x11.75”/small sapis?

Question!? I have the v2 and I'm one of those who just doesn't feel comfortable with the qd buckle. Can I just buy the low pro buckles and swap them? Or do I literally have to buy the entirely new v3 carrier. Thank you!
I don't think so. There is added fabric and the version 2 area is actually sewn down. It wouldn't be that simple unfortunately. That carrier is DUMB popular though so an upgrade may not cost too much. But I've learned that having two carriers....or eleven....is always nice.

I can only think of one carrier that might dethrone the K-19 and that would be the S&S Plate-frame Modular Plate Carrier but at around $1200 it's priced out of the everyday nut job like me:)

yea I've seen it... their style of "just copy everything else" doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.
Plus the kzero design is leaps better. And the things they did copy are the worst possible parts lol it makes no sense

no, I don't believe so. You could break them off and install the new style
I read somewhere that a smaller frame guy has a hard time getting this adjusted to their size. I’m about 5’10” 170 but it seems like there’s enough adjustments to get it right on me. Anyone have experience or advice?
Part of my tests involve placing a carrier on my spouse to test size range. She's Petite and 5'2" and we sized it to her pretty easily.
At your size, you're at a pretty standard middle size and you'd have no issues.

Do you think the Pincer placard has enough room for AK mags?
It won't fit the Magpul or Croatian AK mags I have due to the tab in the back. Unless you want to put the mag in with the bullets up

I'm running plastic Bulgarian steel reinforced poly mags. Slightly smaller profile than steel but idk. Surely a more AK compatible placard can be attached

I confess I threw on my K-19 V2 plate carrier as I watched this video for shits and giggles baby, yeahhh! Get’chu some, whatever iteration you can get your hands on get it!
The cummerbund on the v3 is more than horrible. I will say, because of the negative feedback, the rapid response from a company, such as Agilite, would be appreciated because of the drive for innovation. The community that is watching needs this company to step up ever so slightly to become one our greatest clients in the market.
The agilite cummerbund is my absolute favorite. Not sure what you're talking about.
Folks that load up their cummerbund tend to dislike it but those setup can be a little ReCcE.

I JUST got a k19, and then they released this v3. I did talk to someone at agilite asked if there would be a lot of the k19 I just got they said give it some time, like 6 months and they will release something.
Not sure how that works but that’s what was Said.
